Even people who I respect as conservatives seem to have succumb to the propaganda of the left concerning Sarah Palin. If they are honest enough to answer you as to why they don't like her, they parrot back the same media-speak of the leftist media that they otherwise will not trust or respect.  When you interject some facts into the equasion, the conversation dies off, because you can not take out what the commies have programmed so perfectly!

Shame both on the Media and the stupid people who selectively go along with them on whatever lies and distortions and attacks they make on her (and her family) while they selectively ignore this same media for what the recognize as pure propaganda on other issues!

I'm sure many good Germans did the same thing with certain issues coming out of the State Controlled Propaganda machine of the third reich!

I just don't understand it....  I don't get how some folks (AF) think it is dishonorable for a politician to do something that they themselves would do in the exact same situation.

Well, I encourage him to discuss this, but there are a rare few of us who don't shy away from a position like this...

Yep, it's human nature, it's not that they are stupid, it's that they haven't heard both sides.
The Right is bombarded 10 to 1 on media saturation, it takes a discerning eye to filter through the BS.

Is Palin perfect? Hell no! But she is only human, and a smart one at that.
One only need look at her achievements to see that she is definitely POTUS material.
Anyone that can run through the Gauntlet of the MSM without armor, all the while keeping a smile on her face and touting the good that America has done has my admiration.

A Lie repeated often enough, even if it sounds untrue at it's first telling, may replace the truth if the propaganda is successful in presenting a public perception of the Propagandist's desired distortion of reality!  Herr Doktor Goebels was a master of such deception and help the Third Reich destroy or silence any opposition of the NAZI's.

Lefties only acknowlege the use of such propaganda as it belongs to their "cause celebre's"...

Even, otherwise sane, Conservatives seem to lose their minds and by into the Media Spin concerning Sarah Palin!  It's a dangerous practice, much akin to only doing drugs on the weekends and denying that one might ever become addicted!

The left took over the media more than 50 years ago and have been directing politics ever since.
Remember Cronkite declaring we had lost the Vietnam war?
It was all but over after they propped him up as the only POV on the war.

Sort of like Sen. Shumer floated the idea of creating an economic crisis that the DEMOCRATS could exploit when he single handedly caused the failure of IndyMac by intentionally creating a panic in the spring of 2008.

Many see this as having been a dry run for the eventual "October Surprize" brought about by a DEMOCRAT Sec. of the Treasury, HANK PAULSON, as he and the FED paniced Congress, President Bush  and minority of the American people into turning to socialism to avoid a catastrophic collapse of the entire world's economy!

]Democrats have a history of using any and every dirty trick in the book, to further their agenda!   They haven't settled with just using lies and distortions of the truth to get their way, many BELIEVE that many of them have committe TREASON AND OTHER HIGH CRIMES AND MISEDEMEANORS!

SARAH PALIN has had the audacity of listening to what the American people are talking about at their kitchen tables and giving voice to many of our concerns about the CHANGE Obama and his minions have in mind for America!

I am not going to respond to this exercise in "pig-piling" that you all have decided to aim at me.

You are all in love with Sarah Palin.  Good for you.  I get it.  I expressed MY opinion of her, like all of you did.  The DIFFERENCE is that I didn't resort to sweeping assumptions and "third-person" veiled attacks on any of you, like you all did me.

I believe we can do MUCH better than Sarah Palin as POTUS.  Case closed, at least from my perspective.  If you all want to continue to attack me, go for it.  You're confusing me with somebody who cares.

We may very well be able to have a more suitable candidate than Sarah Palin, although I've not see one yet, other than perhaps Marco Rubio.  I'm neither in love with or committed to the idea of Sarah Palin becoming my choice for POTUS.  However, I've never seen anyone continually drug through the mud for things that amount to trival gaff, at the most and not any worse than the best policians of either party!  The difference is the "pig-piling" that seems to go on whenever Sarah Palin's name is mentioned!  I view it as unAmerican and don't like her being "pig-piled" anymore than it would seem that you like others ganging up on you!

I didn't mean to pig-pile on you, I was expressing my opion of all those who are consistently pig-piling on Sarah Palin for no apparent good reason and who won't state a good reason for why they join the movement to trash her!

AF, no one is pig piling on you.  You put your hypocrisy on display, so we, or at least I, was hoping to discuss it a little bit, since you are standing firm on a false lib talking point, that's all.  If I came out and said something like "taxes aren't high enough", then I would hope I would get piled on.  You can't defend your hypocritical position, so I am curious why you put it out there.  "Intellectual honesty", as you put it, is not for everyone, but I was hoping you could give it the 'ol college try and at the very least attempt to debate your position.

And, to address voting for her, yes, if she was on the ticket, I would vote for her.  She is a true conservative.  She takes on oil companies, puts corrupt RINOs in jail, slashed spending in her state, and so forth, so I think her balls are bigger than 99.9% of the Pubs out there.  When she starts acting like a lib or RINO, then she is off my list.  Otherwise, just because she has an accent and likes to hunt moose is no reason to down her.

I already stated, and debated, my position on Sarah Palin in this thread and in other threads.  I am not going to repeat myself.  I would recommend that you crack open a dictionary and look up the definition of the words "hypocrite/hypocrisy", since you accused me of something (hypocrisy) that I didn't do.

I don't give a damn if my opinion of Sarah Palin is a "lib talking point" or somebody else's talking point.  It is MY opinion, and I am obviously not alone in having the same opinion of her.

Palin seems to be a good enough person...............just not good enough to be President of the United States.  And WHO said anything about Palin hunting moose and having an accent besides YOU, "Taxed"?

Isn't ANYBODY in here sick and tired of settling for LESS than what we, as individuals and as a country, DESERVE in a President?  Was Ronald Reagan just a "once-in-a-lifetime" President?  If he was, then there is NO HOPE for this country.

Your argument is hypocritical, i.e., you say she is a quitter, when you would have done the exact same thing.  That is hypocritical, and you indeed did that.  If not, then please indulge the forum and say you would not have done what she did.

It is not an opinion.  It is a declaration of a hypocritical position.

Yet, when someone comes along and displays solid conservatism, albeit polarizing, it isn't good enough for you.

Ah.... (As the German's say) "Da liegst Der Hasse im Pfeffer"  (litterally "There lies the Rabbit in the Pepper", meaning there is where the problem is...)

I do believe that Ronald Reagan was (and still remains) a "once in a lifetime President"!  I've seen them come and I've seen them go and He was the only one who spoke to my heart and inspired me!

Palin, herself,  has long considered Ronald Reagan her political Mentor and inspiration for her political views and her views about American exceptionalism.  She would be the first one to tell you that she is no Ronald Reagan and doesn't attempt to make any comparison of herself to him!

Alas, I don't see a Ronald Reagan on the horizon.  However, I disagree that without one, there is no HOPE!

Ronald reagan's greatest strength was that he believed in the greatness of the American people and that America is the shining city on the hill, which gives HOPE to the entire world!  I beleive that as do a generation of peole he inspired!  Sarah Palin is one of us!  Just Sayun!  ;)

I assumed that is why you don't like her, since you can't give any valid reasons, and shy away from addressing your hypocrisy.
