What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is the equivalent of a three-party congress.  The Dims, the RINOs, and the Freedom Caucus Conservatives. With a three way split, two of the factions will need to cooperate to get anything done.

Now the question is which combination will form to push through new legislation? Rinos and Dims get along pretty well. But I believe the Rinos are starting to figure out that going Dim is more and more likely to result in a pink slip next election. (TEA associations nation wide need to start getting vocal, just to reinforce that idea in the coming months....)

Dims and Freedom Caucus? The only reason they voted the same way on Ryan-care was because neither wanted it passed - but for entirely difference reasons. They may vote down things together, but in now way can they be considered working together.

So it seems the only way to actually get something PASSED (as opposed to blocked) will be for the Rinos and FC 'Pubs to work together. And when that happens, I believe we will be seeing TEA influence pulling Rinos to the right. The only question, how long until the Rinos start seeing the light?
I get your point, but in truth, it's a two-way split between the Freedom Caucus and Leftists in both party's.

Two leftist factions, true. But like the old Soviets and Maoists, they chase the same general goals, but despise each other. When O was wannabe king, the dems led congress, even though when in minority. With Trump in office, espousing a number of platforms at odds with the Dims, I predict we will not see anywhere near the cooperation between the Rinos and Dims that we saw under Obama.

Still, a lot rides on TEA. We need to be getting vocal - very vocal. As in TEA events weekly somewhere - or several somewheres. Let the Rinos know they have a choice over the next 4-8 years: move right, or get replaced.

Ya know, looking back, I don't remember a time when the right was this involved in politics.
Growing up, everyone was Conservative, that was America, you didn't worry all that much about Federal issues, simply because it wasn't all that big, most focused on local politics because that's where most of our taxes went.

Yeah, I think we can turn this thing around. But man do we have our work cut out for us.

That's one of the reasons the GOP is having such problems. Suddenly the conservatives are standing up.

General history. To quote a particular phrase from a particular document, "mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed..." The turn to Marxism has been gradual, but steady, with the first hard truly hard leftist moves coming in response to the Great Depression. Conservative factions have allowed these incursions because, in the vernacular of our primary founding document, the evils have been "sufferable." Taxes go up, but just a little at a time - and then eased a bit, before going up more. Liberties are encroached upon, but, again, just a little at a time. They've been boiling the frog by putting him in cool water and slowly heating it.

It has only been the last 8 years when the Marxists decided it was time for the final push into full blown tyranny. (IMO because events in Europe had them afraid their false economy would collapse before they got their ducks in a row, so they jumped the gun.) But as the aforementioned document continues, "but when a long train of abuses and usurpations pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism..."  And that is what happened - a long train of abuses and usurpations finally became apparent to a large portion of the general population what their ultimate goal is when the Democrats chose an admitted socialist (he even wrote a fracking BOOK boasting about it!!) to be our president. Sadly some bought into the "utopia" propaganda and support the move to socialism. But the conservative factions reacted differently. "... it is (our) right, it is (our) duty to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for (our) future security." TEA was born, and despite the demonization and propaganda campaign against us, we have been growing in message and authority since.

It's odd, that the Marxist was the best thing to ever happen to this Nation. I wrote about it when he took office about a year into his first term, his policies were so destructive that people were finally waking up, but like sleepy sheep, they continued to follow the flock just as the always had.
They didn't really concern themselves because their party promised to right these wrongs...this time it was gonna be different. (the GOP promised)

Here we are nearly a decade later and the party had been exposed for its continual lies.
It wasn't the Marxist we were mad at, it was our own elected officials that paved the way for the commie to push his agenda on the American people, even after we gave them the house as they had asked for and they still did nothing, we gave them both Houses of Congress and still they claimed it wasn't enough, they needed the WH to make actual change.
All the tools necessary to stop the communist surge, and still they gave the Marxist every penny and more to institute his policies.
Kill Commiecare!!! They promised they would end it if they just had the power.

Funny, but during the last 4 years, the Dim party was nothing more than an afterthought, a fart in a crowded room and no one willing to own its destructive path. Ask 6 Dims in DC leadership who is the leader of their movement, and you'll get 6 different answers and not one of them will accept the blame for its demise.
The people knew the Dim movement was dead, they could no longer do any more damage, but it wasn't the Dim party who were doing all the damage, it was the leftists in our own party that were doing the will of Marxists and continuing their policies of destroying our very way of life.
The Dim party was nothing more than a front for deception to mask the real power, the GOP, the very power that enabled their every demand.

This next midterm is going to be very telling.
After years of feigned weakness and calls to resuscitate the GOP so they could stop an illegal move to inflict socialized policies, particularly Commiecare, they blatantly threw it in our face and tried to force it through anyway.
To their shock and horror, they were beaten back, they suffered their first loss at the hands of Conservatives.
This, I believe foretells the path the midterms will take in purging the GOP of a cancer that is Marxism.

While the Dim party has been pretty much cowering in a corner since the 2010 midterms told them what the majority truly thinks of ACA, the progressive movement itself has been anything but passive. From the blatant disregard of federal immigration laws to redefining marriage, to demanding sexual predators be given free access to women's facilities, the progs have been out in full force, busy as a nest of army ants destroying and destabilizing our republic as much as possible in preparation for the Great Marxist Nanny State to come to our rescue.

Likewise, the prog propaganda arm has been doing their share, praising lawlessness, demonizing Christianity, and promoting a society of hedonism. And that's just the morning shows. If the facts make the Dim party look bad the facts will never make it into a news story. Spin is the operational tactic of the times. Truth is a demon to be avoided.

The upcoming (sooner than we think!!) midterms will, indeed, be interesting. The conservative movement, while making great progress since 2008 - almost unheard of, considering the past 8 decades - is still relative new to the neighborhood, and are the declared enemy of everything D.C. A short 8 years ago true constitutional conservatives as a group had no genuine representation at the national level, and damned little at the state and local levels. Now, TEA sponsored representatives were instrumental in preventing a GOPe lie from becoming law. Numerically the Dims are vulnerable, defending far more seats in the Senate that the 'Pubs, and several in traditionally red states. Unseating an incumbent Dim is a great opportunity for conservatives, because the 'pub challenger will be a new name to everyone. As such, the TEA movement has a decent chance of influencing which new name will be on that ballot. OTOH, mid terms usually trend toward the party out of power, so with the party establishment against us, we will still have more than average challenge keeping our voices in the mix.

The opposition (as in the central leadership of BOTH parties) will be out in full force trying to keep their power base from crumbling further. As such, we also need to make sure we are out there in full force. We need to be organized, because our opponents are very much organized. And we will need to be vocal - more so than ever before - because we'll need to overcome the propaganda mills' lies and rhetoric behind the party establishment. The opposition has declared us dead (many times.) We need to prove otherwise, in a manner consistent with our principles and ideology, that can be neither ignored, nor denied.

Yep, which is why it's beyond imperative now more than ever that we purge the Marxists from the GOP.
The Dim party is on its deathbed, about to roll into its grave, but it won't as long as the RINO exist, they need an ally in the other party to work off of, just like we've been witnessing the last several decades.
It's a long shot, but if we can purge the party clean, the left won't have a prayer.

Literally, the battle for our very existence.

Absolutely. But if we want even a ghost of a chance at purging the 'Pubs of the leftist factions, we need to be getting very, very proactive. Mid-term primaries are not that far off in time, and TEA associations in the various states and state districts need to have some good names ready to toss in the mix.

As I have said before, our best opportunities lie in the Dim senators up for reelection in red states. Since there is no 'Pub incumbent to overcome, the only real factor is getting a true conservative candidate at the top of the primary list. Second would be replacing Dim reps from districts in red states, same approach - get a conservative name at the top of the list for 'Pub challengers.

Replacing 'Pub incumbents will be the tough part. The danger lies in weakening the Rino incumbent during primaries, but have them go on to the general election anyway, opening the door for a Dim to slip through. And while there is not a great deal of difference between the two, there is enough difference that a Dim winning a Rino's seat will still be a net loss for the conservative movement. For instance, not even McConnell would vote in favor of a significant gun control bill, but there are plenty of Dims out there who would vote for one twice if given the opportunity.

Again, organization is the key. Not a rigid, hierarchical organization with a capital O, with designated leadership and crap like that. But communication (above all), TEA associations talking with each other, cooperating in vetting names, getting legs out on the sidewalks stumping for true conservatives, etc.

There are a lot of disillusioned members of the younger generations out there - even millennials - who are waking up to the broken promises of Marxism, and even realizing many of those broken promises come from the fact that they were impossible promises in the first place. TEA associations can start pulling some of those people in, let them learn the REAL political philosophy of modern conservatism, as all most of them have ever heard is the leftist media version.

I wonder how much it would cost to start a new television network? I have a coffee can full of quarters.....
