Title: Russian foreign minister won’t return Kerry’s call
Post by: Cryptic Bert on February 13, 2013, 04:50:12 PM
Secretary of State John Kerry called all the foreign ministers of countries that deal with North Korea following Monday's nuclear test and all but one of them picked up the phone -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Kerry made his first remarks about the new nuclear test, which the North Koreans warned the State Department about in advance.

"With respect to the DPRK, President Obama made it crystal clear last night and previously in all comments, as have other countries, that North Korea's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile program are a threat now to the United States of America, because of what they are pursuing specifically, as well as to global security and peace," Kerry said.

  Anything to feel important.  Poor Kerry.  Lost to Bush, associated with the silliest idea ever (inconvient truth) and now disrespected by Russia.

I think Russia lost all respect for us when Obama promised to help them after the election.

Compromise is seen as a weakness as well, it's one reason the RINO are so despised, they always compromise, deal from a point of weakness.
If you hold all the cards in a deal, you'd be a fool to capitulate, yet what do RINO do?
Then we have the Child in Chief bargaining from as if we are the weak ones.
Awwww the days of Carter's stupidity and weakness is looking better and better everyday.

On target. Carter is a patriot, but very naive as to reality. I keep hearing that Obama won't do some of things he is doing because of his legacy. These folks are totally wrong. He is not interested in a normal presidential legacy. His desired legacy is transforming this conutry to socialism or worse.

Russia's foreign minister still hasn't called Kerry back

As you head off for your Presidents' Day weekend, The Cable would just like to note that it's now been over 72 hours since Secretary of State John Kerry reached out to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov -- without getting a call back.

As The Cable reported earlier this week, Kerry reached out to Lavrov after North Korea detonated a nuclear bomb on Feb. 11, as well as the foreign ministers of Japan, China, and South Korea. Lavrov, who has been traveling in Africa, is the only foreign minister who didn't answer or return Kerry's call. The State Department is trying very hard not to seem upset about the perceived snub.

"Well, first of all, let me say that we are relaxed. The secretary is relaxed about this," outgoing State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Thursday. "From our perspective, the secretary would like to talk to him. It's up to him whether he wants to take that opportunity."

Today, reporters at the State Department briefing were flabbergasted that it is taking this long for the Russian leader to respond.

"Our daily question about Mr. Lavrov:  Has he returned the phone call? Have you found him? Is he missing in action?" one reporter asked.

"They have not yet connected by phone," Nuland said.

"I mean, this is getting kind of ridiculous, isn't it?" another reporter asked her.

"Look, as we said at that time, as I've been saying all week, we're making it clear that we would like to talk if they want to. If they are too busy or otherwise engaged, the offer stands, and we'll continue to do other diplomacy," she responded.

I think the Russians would rather deal with a tough guy that was at least somewhat honest, than a traitor panty waste like Kerry.
They know that know meaningful deals can be made with a guy that sold out his own country and fellow soldiers.

I thought Hussein was going to be tight with the Russkis after getting caught on-mike saying he could do more after the elections.

Wait. At that time he hadn't named Lurch to replace Shrill. Ooooooopsie!

That's what happens when you have a Pravda, one that isn't a lapdog for Husein.
Here, the media hides and covers for every screw up everyday, in Russia, they laugh at the Boy Leader and expose him for what he is, a puppet Marxist.

I'm not sure if there isn't some nervousness on the part of the Russians.

Look at us through their eyes:

Narcissist little boy president that has become drunk with power, and is constantly seeking more.

Spiraling out of control debt, that only continues to grow.

The nomination of Kerry; a man that has no loyalty to our country whatsoever.

And finally, not only are we painting ourselves into a corner, but we happen to be sitting on the planet's largest arsenal of weapons.

A recipe for disaster if there ever was one. :scared:

One might think that here in the US, but in context to the world stage, Husein takes on the appearance and ferocity of an incompetent paper tiger.
For those in Rio Linda and libs in general, he's a buffoon.

Good point, one has to think that an enemy that sees their opponent on the edge of collapse might view it as a time to strike, or as in the case of the Islamist movement, want to take credit for our defeat.

I'm not saying our collapse is inevitable, I'm just pointing out the fact that Husein policy has taken us to the precipice and the world knows it.

Exactly! In addition to weakening the dollar, as well as our Military at it's moral core and numbers and dividing the Nation. Ignoring Bengazi as if it didn't really hhappen.
Apologizing to the world for what he perceives as mistakes. It's like wearing a full body cast in an alligator pit, thinking the plaster wrap will protect you.

Where we're going, we don't need nukes!  We can sell to Korea!

So while Korea and Iran push the doomsday clock to 1159 Obama wants to disarm the government as well as the citizenry.

Well, if Kerry called me, (And I have caller ID so I'd know it was him) I wouldn't answer either.

I wonder if TerAYsa Heinz has again taken the Kerry name.  When he ran for President, she changed it to Kerry.  When he lost, she changed it back to Heinz.  Her late husband, Sen. Heinz, (Yes, the catsup people) was killed in a small airplane crash and she ended up with a gigantic fortune.  He was a Conservative Republican.  He must be spinning in his grave to know that TerAYsa is frittering away his money on causes such as the one she and Soros cooked up after 9/11, They gave millions to the cause of stopping discrimination against gay Muslims.  Yep, folks, that's the truth. Like that was some kind of problem.

I think Kerry is a turncoat, a traitor to the ideals of this country, and not fit to be Secretary of State or even dogcatcher.  I think TerAYsa, is a South African born idiot.  Well, you don't have to be born in South Africa to be an idiot.  There are millions of idiots who were born in the US.
