I have to say that I, too, am against "Gay propaganda among minors."  It is going on in our schools at this moment.  "Heather has two mommies."

Other than that, the coverage of Sochi is hilarious.  I especially liked the one where a guest entered his hotel room and found the work crew asleep in his bed.  The side-by-side toilet is funny, too.  And having to throw your used toilet paper into a waste bin is gross. 

The Russians apparently did not know how to run an Olympics.  Should have asked Mitt Romney for help.

The porta-potty signage of "no crapping on the floor, wall, seat, etc." were great.  And apparently "no fishing in the toilet" ????

You can gussy up the euros.....but they're still 3rd world savages by and large.

The Commies are trying to become more capitalistic. The only thing they
have perfected from capitalism is corruption. The old system was corrupt
but there is more money to steal in a capitalist system. Commies love capitalism.

The Politburo, KGB, and Czars and Premiers were silent for a few years, after all aspects of the communist society and economy fell apart.

But they were there like vultures, to muscle their way into stealing the new capitalist economy.  Maybe in their original forms and structures.

That's why Putin's a billionaire and most of his 40-year buddies are the millionaires.  I think they basically sponsor the new Russian Mob, as franchises.

Progressives hate Russia right now, and they hate Putin because Russia is currently recovering from left wing insanity and won't join other Western countries on a similar path of misery. The left hates seeing that a country that was once the standard bearer of far left politics has now made a sharp right after realizing how much communism and Marxist social policies screwed them over. As we are heading left as a nation, Russia is heading right, what a difference in 25 some odd years.

The hate conservatives have for Russia and Putin makes no sense to me; it's continuing a cold war narrative that doesn't exist anymore. Putin isn't a communist; if anything, he is a nationalist. Putin has more in common with the Czars than with the Soviet Premiers. Putin's political party, United Russia is analogous to the Republicans, but is possibly MORE conservative when it comes to social policy. For those of you who hate on Putin, remember that his party is keeping the actual communist party at bay in Russia, which happens to be the 2nd most popular political party behind Putin's United Russia.

I worked on a construction project years ago where one of the subcontractors employed 100% foreign laborers, all of them from Southeast Asia. They usually worked on a different part of the site, and we often wouldn't have known they were around, except..... When you saw muddy bootprints on either side of the seat in a porta-pot, you knew our beloved squatting "boat people" were around someplace.
