After four years and now having Obama's actions to compare against it, I decided to read his playbook by Saul Alinsky.  Stunning in the sense that Obama could have written it instead of having been a student of it.

One excerpt...page 73.

"He is challenging, insulting, agitating, discrediting.  He stirs unrest."

Page 34

"Ethics are determined by whether one is losing or winning."

There are countless others but it has to be read in totality to get the whole picture.

I highly suggest reading it.  I think you will conclude without a doubt that this is his playbook.

This, along with Marx' writings, and Ayers' writing, and Wright's rants, and Obama Sr. / Marshall's hate for America and the west in general......are the core of Obama.

This is pretty well known.

All the leftists and media can do is make a lot of commotion and claim that anybody who has the nerve to say so is crazy, stupid, racist, anti-America for slandering the president, and so on.

They can't actually discount Obama's quotes, video, behaviors, actions, and general worship of these people.

So that's what they do.  And guess what....they maintain the upper hand.  Only the craziest from the conservative / GOP side will even tell the truth about what we all see, daily.  99.9 % are just laying low, afraid to even comment on what everyone sees all day, every day.

It's incredible that people can be accurate and truthful on something, yet be silent and hiding in fear of the completely dishonest opposition.

We need to find a way to stop this and turn it around.

Honestly, I don't know if we can turn it around.  We have a very ill-informed voting bloc that actually has the majority and is growing.  Sprinkle in some corruption and presto...a failure like Obama gets reelected.  Now of course there's the lazy Conservatives who thought they were going "to show" the G.O.P., so they stayed home.  That was just brilliant.  Shows how many of them didn't pay attention and didn't learn from 2008.  Then we get to the "illustrious" youth vote.  Obama promised them the world in 2008.  They graduate and there's no jobs...so what do they do...vote for him again.

Why?  Mommy's basement has heat and running water and 3 squares a day so no need to vote against a media celebrity like Obama.   Hell, stay home and play video games and make a few bucks working part-time for beer money.  Romney is just a big, bad rich guy afterall.  They drank the Kool-Aid twice.   Not to say Romney was a great choice, but come on.  It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see this administration doesn't have clue on most issues.  Instead they have an agenda of their own issues that they have been very successful at implementing.

I could go on all day.  I'm sure you get my point.

I couldn't agree with you more. Neither McCain or Romney were my first choices, but I saw the danger in electing Obama. The fact thet fewer folks voted for Romney than McCain is proff there were many that just stayed home.

Can "Idiocracy" come true  ?

More along the same line:

Pro-Obamacare group sponsoring symposium to train journalists how to report on Obamacare

The fact they are "training journalists" is despicable in and of itself.

This is why I think we may be done.

Not very long ago at all, this would be despised and attacked as un-American, USSR-like, and as a breach of the public trust and professional ethics.

Now, the 51% that put Obama in place are just loving it, like they're 12 years old and cheating is cool, funny, something to do for grins and giggles and to "win", however that may be defined. And of course 90% + of the media is right there.  Childish lunatics like Olbermann, Schulz, Maher, Behar, Maddow, Matthews, Whoopi, have way too much power.

But keep in mind, there can be a backlash when we least expect it.  Politics isn't always a linear, sure path. Obama and Co. could possibly get so disgusting that a David Dukes type character could cobble together a bizarre coalition just like Obama did.  Or Hitler as the grand example.

I just quit a board where literally every reply was "get over it, we won the election"  as if that was something to be proud of.  I suppose it is when one is clueless on it's implications.

In the past the electorate swayed back and forth btween the parties during elections.  The difference was that the voters were "static".  With the influx of the "new voter" they only know one way...vote for who will give me the most and we know what party that is.

AndyJackson

That's why I really think "Idiocracy" is a good snapshot of things today.

The majority that's apparently going to get their president and many others elected......has the mentality of young children.

It's all "haha pwned bwahahahaha suck on it".  This is literally the new electorate's position on most things.

This may have been spawned by the internet to some degree. As we've said when discussing different sites, the internet's the place to go when you're a failure, really don't know much about anything, have the most ridiculous take or grasp of things.......and hold sway and lecture like Lincoln, MLK, Churchill, Patton, and Ghandi combined.

I think a good portion of the electorate has grown up like this, and now they're here to vote and procreate, both possibilities a damned shame.

But what the hell can you do ?  Looks like nothing.  Until things get so scary that a Hitler shows up and wins a squeaker.

In a way, we created what now has come back to bite us on our collective asses.

My own 24 year old daughter is clueless as far as politics.  The only saving grace...she asks me who to vote for.  So that's one vote "in the bag".
