MOBILE, Alabama — The Republican National Committee (RNC) is now again backing Judge Roy Moore, the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate in Alabama. The RNC's decision to now publicly support Moore again comes in the wake of President Donald Trump's wholehearted endorsement of Moore on Monday morning.
"We stand with the president," a senior RNC official told Breitbart News.
While the RNC — which is President Trump's political arm — is clearly backing Moore now, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is still withholding support. The NRSC is controlled by the vehemently anti-Trump and anti-Moore Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. McConnell has pushed for Moore's ouster after spending more than $30 million in a failed effort to beat him in the GOP primary and runoff. That effort to oust Moore from the race failed too, as McConnell loses more and more influence over the GOP by the second. It remains to be seen if the NRSC will join President Trump in supporting the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate in Alabama in the final week of the election. Voters head to the polls a week from Tuesday on Dec. 12.

Let's hope this is an indication that McConnell is in danger of losing his position as majority leader.

Not quite. Trump said he needs REPUBLICANS in the senate, needs his vote. McConnell is the idiot, with barely a majority, he's willing to sacrifice a senate seat - meh, what's the difference in policy though, McConnell would probably be just as happy with Democrats in control, he'd still get his agenda through, the RINO he is.

I'm starting to think the Con knows his days are numbered, which is why he doesn't care how leftist he looks, he's on his way out.

he knows he won't be re-elected, which would be a serious embarrassment for him to lose as leader of the Senate,
better to be in the minority to retire 'quietly' than get beat at home and lose as Majority leader. In other words, I *expect* him to sabotage the Senate majority by supporting candidates that cannot win - to "ease his exit".

Yes, I hoped, but didn't think I'd be alive to see it, but by God, it's happening, leftists hated around the world and most definitely here in the US and the backlash against them is palpable.
