I saw this earlier, and the first thing I thought of, was the left was going back to their old playbook of "Generation Gap".
Remember the early 60s when they pulled this crap? "Anyone over 30 was square", it was their actual first assault on American culture that had a profound effect at the time.
Though there's always been a generation gap, it was accepted that the youth respect their elders, the left used this during a time of rebellion, one they created.
Yes, they're trying once again and this time it won't work.

Q PATRIOT!!!

Yup, "Never trust anyone over 30"... I also remember that and it did serve to separation factor between the college kids and the adults.

Worshiping the feelings and convictions of children seems fraught with dangers, from what I have seen and witnessed.

Wee 'chilluns' bite & fight and will only become civilized if molded by parents.

I have read  'Lord of the Flies'.. that was an astounding text.

I've raised kids, I've coached kids' teams and not once did I think that children were real authorities over what's right, what's wrong.

What did I miss?

You missed nothing.
A core precept of the Natural Law tells us to "Honor the Father and Mother" not the converse, that the Father and Mother should honor the children. Why?
Because the Family Unit is hierarchic and the bedrock of culture/society since the dawn of Man.
Reversing the hierarchy is modern nonsense of morons.

True, 'Honor thy father and thy mother' has been a guideline for countless centuries, but look at what we hyper-liberal Americans have engineered lately; some kids, as high a percentage as 74%, have no father. Some have "two mommies" and no father. Some have just two quasi males/almost females as parents.

"Suffer the little children" is a quote that comes to mind.

I think today's kids have an exceptional adversary in the form of radical liberalism and the destruction of the traditional family.

Oh, and suicide among our young is soaring... I wonder why?

W/O saying it, you properly identified the family unit as the foundation of culture/society since the Garden of Eden.
What does its destruction tell us about our future as a nation???
