The one thing  i have heard that  is absolutely baffling is that you can still get the tax credit for  healthcare but you  have to pay for it  up front and then get re-imbursed later which effectively means the poor cant get healthcare because they cant  pay up front. Single  payer would be better than what the reps are putting  out. Sounds like a rich persons bill. People who have enough money to pay for healthcare in the first  place will get reimbursed but the  poor cant  pay up front so they go without.

I haven't read it yet so I'm not going to comment on it.

Quite frankly, from what  i am hearing is this will end up a bigger monstrosity than Obamacare.

Isn't a tax credit the same as a subsidy?

Yes, but in the republican plan the poor have to pay up front and get reimbursed later which means the poor wont get healthcare because they cant  pay up front. It sounds to me this is  just a "lets rescue the  insurance companies" bill.

Hows this little doozy...

Under this bill, anyone who goes without health coverage for 2 months or more will face a 30% surcharge on premiums for an entire year.

First, thank you to Rand Paul for shaming them to release this.

Sounds like a  punish the  poor  bill. Reps totally  tone deaf. Healthcare is so F'ed up now more and more will be wanting single  payer.

Obama and the democrats knew exactly what they were doing when they built this Tar baby called Obamacare. Getting out of it is going to be ugly. Some people are going to be harmed personally, but I say most of them vote democrat. The subsidies are nothing more than a welfare program with the insurance companies ending up with money. I just wrote my congressman, Mark Meadows, opposing tax credits. That is nothing more than relabeling subsidies. Fortunately as head of the Freedom Caucus he is opposed to the tax credits. If the republicans are smart they will tout the fact that mandates are eliminated and people now have choices.
