One of President Trump’s key campaign promises was to clean up the streets of America.

Deporting illegal aliens is key to making America safe again. The Trump administration wants to go a step further. According to Stephen Dinan of the Washington Times, Homeland Security head Kirstjen Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday that her Department is preparing to arrest leaders of sanctuary cities.

Washington Times reports:

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.

“The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available,” Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Her confirmation came after California’s new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.

This isn’t the first time calls for arresting leaders of sanctuary cities have been made.

As long as there is enough room down at gitmo, I don't have a problem with this.

Feds planning massive Northern California immigration sweep to strike against sanctuary laws

U.S. immigration officials have begun preparing for a major sweep in San Francisco and other Northern California cities in which federal officers would look to arrest more than 1,500 undocumented people while sending a message that immigration policy will be enforced in the sanctuary state, according to a source familiar with the operation.

Officials at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, declined to comment Tuesday on plans for the operation.

The campaign, centered in the Bay Area, could happen within weeks, and is expected to become the biggest enforcement action of its kind under President Trump, said the source, who requested anonymity because the plans have not been made public.

Better than the 9th Circus.
Thing s, if they try, they'll lose, the main function of POTUS is to protect the Nation from foreign invaders.
I'd love to see those headlines. "Trump teaches Dims About the Constitution".

As it should. This action would be unprecedented and needs to be totally clean.

It will happen, and there won't be a single thing the leftists can do to stop Trump.
The courts will rule Sanctuary City status as unconstitutional, giving ICE all the support they need in rounding up these people, (whom of which, are mostly law breakers on the run).

God oh Mighty, the Dim party has a giant "Marxist" stamp on everything they do.
Who in their right mind would have ever thought that a political movement, literally in opposition to our Constitution and Bill of Rights could ever have taken hold in this country?

Literally, good vs evil, and thank God Evil is losing.

Remember back when we were all decrying the heavy arms buildup in the Federal agencies...?
Wondering WHY the IRS, BLM, HS, etc., needed millions of rounds of ammunition?

I'd like to see *most* of that get sold to pay the national debt down... the rest, well, as the Libs like to say, "She Resisted"...
meh, ya think the Libs expected that kind of turn of events?   :ttoung:

California AG: ‘We Will Prosecute’ Employers Who Cooperate with Federal Immigration Officials

snip~
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) says his office “will prosecute” employers who cooperate with federal immigration officials to deport criminal illegal aliens from the United States.
In a press conference on Thursday, the pro-open borders attorney general warned California employers of new state laws that barred businesses from providing information on illegal aliens to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency that would aid in deportations.

Guessing here that obama is wishing now that he had not bought all of that ammo for homeland security.

Got to give obama credit, he left the government well armed.

That word "karma" keeps popping into my head.
Personally, I would love to see a picture of President Trump driving one of those obama tanks.

I wonder how those new CA would hold up under serious opposition in the courts. Passing laws that forbid abiding with other laws seems awfully weak.

I was listening to a bunch of Ca attorney's debating this yesterday, they all agreed Xavier Becerra is a moron for even broaching the subject, that he just backed himself into a corner with no escape.
