After listening to MSM for the last couple of days I now have a favorite. The leftist media is coming unglued over Amy Barrett. Their reasoning is she is "too" Catholic and has seven kids. What logical disqualifiers. Go girl!
I used to use the media as a barometer, but they shifted tactics when Trump ran, they were deathly afraid of Cruz, so they pushed the guy they thought Hillary could beat, all the while playing his character as the clown and imbecile.
They gave him a billion in free airtime and it all came back to bite them in the as.

I'd start looking for them to create a narrative like digging up their ancestral slave-owning past, or maybe an evil oil baron, you know, groups they've already successfully painted as evil.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they were trying to create a victim to get us to rally around her to help us make a decision for their chosen underdog.

Yeah, I know, sounds almost conspiratorial, but these are Marxists we're dealing with, the same people that nearly obliterated the country.

I think it is a safe bet that the MSM will be against anyone Trump nominates.

No doubt about it, but they've learned they can manipulate us by creating an underdog.
Remember the Maverick? That was just another changeup in how they work the public, but thank God, they no longer have a captive audience or anyone in the Dim party in charge of the narrative.

It'll be interesting to watch just how they attempt to manipulate what's leftist their tiny base since they really can't effect us..

there are 9 reasons he needs to appoint a known conservative! I want the first pick to pass through committee but fail on the floor. 9 senate seats in red states! If these senators fail to support his nominee it will kill them in November. If his first pick fails we have the chance to really gain control of the senate and still get the conservative we want on the second nominee! He needs to play them on the first round and we have a win, win!!
-------------------------------
A strong demurral.
"Failing on the Floor" is a recipe for disaster as there
will be no time remaining to vet and re-nominate a
Justice before the Fall elections.
Losing is hardly a winning strategy!
Further it will be noisily and relentlessly trumpeted
by the msm / establishment axis as a crushing defeat
for Trump and used to depress conservative turnout.
Watch!

agree, failure is not an option. Remember Bork, and how the GOP folded to the left? I don't see that happening again, Trump doesn't play that game.
I think he plans on his first choice being his only pick and he'll roughshod it though to the horror of the left.

Absolutely agree. McConnell should not be let off the hook. It is his job to get the nominee approved. Let's be honest, Murkowski is a whore who can be bought off. Collins should be advised her committee assignments are in jeopardy. Time for hardball.

Has Trump's choice been accidentally/intentionally tipped off? Hmmmm...

Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch may have offered a clue about who President Donald Trump will nominate to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court left by retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, days ahead of the planned announcement on Monday.

In a Friday op-ed article for Deseret News, a prominent newspaper in Hatch's home state of Utah, the longtime Republican lawmaker wrote a defense of the coming nominee amid a highly polarized and evenly split Senate.

"Too much is at stake to allow politics to corrupt the Supreme Court confirmation process," Hatch wrote. "That's why in the coming weeks, I will lift heaven and earth to see the president's nominee across the finish line."

The op-ed was notable for one reason: Hatch referred to the nominee using the pronouns "her" and "she."

She would be a fantastic choice and put Dems in an unenviable position of opposing a woman who is a Mother of 5 children and who has adopted 2 Haitian children as well. Certainly will be a conundrum for many of them and their "war on women" meme. This would be high theater if he selects her and would be F-U-N to watch. We could call the soap opera of the hearings on this "As the Democrat Squirms"

There may be a couple that would have a hard time opposing her but not too hard. Remember...feminism isn't really feminism. There is only one kind of feminism and that is liberal feminism. I'm guessing most of the liberal feminists will be more than happy to stick a knife right in her chest...

Bingo! Feminism is only for the protection of liberal women.

It appears that only lib women see a glass ceiling, while Conservative women look down and say, "What Glass, did I break something"?

I dont think the point is that it will be harder for the feminist libs to oppose a women. I think the point is that the feminist libs opposing a woman exposes them to the independants as hypocritical frauds. The end result being more centrists voting gop in the midterms.
Of course the left will voraciously oppose anyone trump chooses, but choosing someone who they shld support makes them expose themselves as  not consistant, and the voters will see that.
