Well apparently someone in the media saw that thread as well. 8)

1. Denial

Obama is the Messiah. He is perfect and can do no wrong.

2. Anger

The damn wingnuts are obstructing Obama! Why do we even allow opposition parties? We're going to pass laws, send Limbaugh to jail or give him a heart attack! See Rachel Maddow's latest tweet. Olbermann is right. We have to take the fight to them! Under Obama's leadership, we'll win!!!

3. Bargaining

Obama is a bit weak, but when he sees we're behind him, that will change. Okay so we might lose some Senate seats. The public is stupid. T

4. Depression

Where did we go wrong? Obama was a great candidate, but now he's letting the right wing walk all over him.  He couldn't get much done even with a supermajority. And it's going to be even worse now. The war is dragging on, the economy is terrible and everyone hates us! Why can't Obama do what Olbermann and Paul Krugman are telling him to do?

5. Acceptance

Obama lied to me. He lied to all of us. He didn't really care about any of the things, he said he cared about. I just feel so used. We'll never get any real reform in this country because everything is in the hands of the big corporations. Maybe Hillary would have been better? Or what about John Edwards, he had great hair and solid progressive credentials, and then we dumped him for a half-black man who kept telling us everything would be alright if we just believed in him. John, come back! We still love you. I don't care how many illegitimate babies you made! Oh to hell with this. I hate politics. I'm erasing my DailyKos diary and going backpacking in the Andes.

Interesting thought.
I started a thread about the libs and the five stages of grief, and connected them to Hussein followers.
At that point in time, most were in the second stage.

But after stumbling across this, I realized they are solidly in stage five.
Wish I had that thread, I could sue the author for plagiarism. ::)

I have a little "story" for you that I still find pretty amazing.

Several years ago, I put together a little "list" based on the Jeff Foxworthy "You may be a redneck if......." format, and I called it "You may be a liberal if...........".  I spent several days putting it together, editing it, refining it, and getting it to where I wanted it.  I sent it out via e-mail to dozens of people, who in turn forwarded it to dozens more people, etc., etc., etc.  I posted it on a little public chat forum that I had (I still have the forum, but it is now an "invitation only" forum).

Anyway, within a few weeks, my "You may be a liberal if........" list became an internet phenomena, and MANY people claimed to have put it together, and took full credit for it's creation. 

I still have the original "You may be a liberal if....." list in the old archives, and I updated it a couple of years ago, due to the fact that the original list was several years old and some of the things in the list were "dated".

If you've ever read a version of it, know that it was originally mine.  It's actually as accurate and sadly funny as it was several years ago.  Nothing has really changed.  Just the names.

I also wrote a piece called "Application For Jesse Jackson U.S. Senate Staff", which was quite popular in the mid-90s.   

So, remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Damn, that is a great idea arpad has...

This is a project I would love to do if I had the time.  I would go up to North Georgia, buy a cabin, live in the woods for a few months... write the 5 stages of liberal grief....  DAMNNIT!!!!!!

The sad part is a MAJORITY of the idiots are NOT in stage five and NEVER will be. That, my friends, is the problem in this country.

What you have to come to gips with is that 28%...that number is ALWAYS gonna be there in some way shape or form and that is what is messing up the country, Time was when that number was only around 10% thus more managable. It seems that the GOP's downfall (and the old line Democrats) was trying to appease this 28% or whatever portion existed. That number is gonna be a factor even if the landslide everyone is praying for comes to fruition.

THEY ARE STILL GONNA CAUSE PROBLEMS.
