RAND PAUL: I think [alleged Ukraine whistleblower] Eric Ciaramella needs to be pulled in for testimony... he is a person of interest in the sense that he was at the Ukraine desk when Joe Biden was there and Hunter Biden was working for Ukrainian oligarchs. Simply for that, I think he is a material witness and needs to be brought in, the other question is, while the whistleblower is protected from being fired or from retaliation in court proceedings, the whistleblower is not protected from being asked who gave him the information, because we can't have a country where the private contents of the president's phone calls are leaked to people who are not supposed to be in that loop.

I think all these questions have to be asked. I don't think the whistleblower statute was never intended to have criminal trials and people put before the penalty of criminal justice without being able to hear from their accusers. So I think ultimately, he should testify. Adam Schiff is going to prevent it in the House. In the Senate, I will be advocating that if it comes to the Senate, we haven't had a vote yet of what the rules should be. By a simple minority, we should make the rules that the president is allowed to call all his witnesses, and then it is up to the president who he wants to call as his witnesses.

The world changes if this gets to the senate. It is no longer Schiff's and Pelosi's baby. It wil be controlled by republicans. The rules change and Schiff will no longer be able to control who the witnesses will be. Because of this it will give Pelosi pause as to whether allow the action in the house to go forward.

Can't wait to see what her exit strategy will be. A few years ago pelosi would have been too smart or too much in control to have allowed this to happen, she does not have that power anymore. Personally, I don't think she has enough power left to control which way her party will move from here on. The radical liberal base, the squad, the socialist are jumping for this. Give up and Trump will pound them without mercy, stay in and kill the party. And to think three years ago I felt in the dumps on how the country was headed.

Any person with a functioning brain cell, knows this will never be enough to Impeach Trump.  This is merely a distraction.  The IG report will come out, and we'll see why they work so hard to distract.  If they vote to Impeach, they stand to lose 31 seats, if they haven't already lost 'em.  If they vote to impeach, Adam Ant will have to testify as a Fact Witness.  And, he'll no longer be in the position to protect the Identity of the Whistle Leaker.  Plus, Trump's attorneys will be there, as will Trump, himself.

The worse thing that could happen to Trump would be for this to NOT go to the Senate. As others have already astutely pointed out, the Senate can call any and all witnesses they wish and there is nothing the Dems can do about it. The Dems DO NOT want this to happen or else their whole house of cards will come tumbling down and " all the kings horses (asses) and all the kings men will not be able to put the pieces back again". Imagine calling Schiff, the whistle blower, the man who hired the whistle blower, Hunter Biden and even his father Joe to the stand, under oath!
