Radical Islam storms Sweden: Over a 1,000% increase in extremists
President Trump was mocked by the establishment media for warning of Sweden's radical Islam problem.
The number of radical Islamic extremists in Sweden has grown from an estimated couple hundred in 2010 to thousands in 2017, the country's top intelligence official has warned.
In an interview with Swedish news agency TT, Anders Thornberg, the chief of the Swedish Security Service (Säpo), said that radical Islam has swarmed the Scandinavian country.
"We have never seen anything like it before," he said in remarks translated by TheLocal.se.
"This is the 'new normal' ... It is an historic challenge that extremist circles are growing," Thornberg said, adding that the Islamic State has propagandized migrants from the Middle East.
He said that Säpo receives about 6,000 intelligence tips per month on radical activities, up from around 2,000 a month in 2012.
In 2012, the intelligence agency estimated that about 300 Swedes had left the country to join ISIS' jihad in Syria and Iraq.
Sweden was subject to a vehicular jihad attack in Stockholm in April, which was claimed by a supporter of the Islamic State. The man hijacked a delivery truck and ran over pedestrians, killing five and injuring 15 more.........
..........Sweden has welcomed in more migrants per capita than any other European country. About 163,000 migrants entered Sweden last year. Some Islamic communities have become so self-isolated, and so dangerous, that they have become "no-go zones" for police and non-Muslims.......
