After this fake news story that the liberal media jumped on from Buzzfeed about the supposed perjury from Trump, I'm left wonder why we still grant these fake news outlets a broadcast license?  NBC CNN and others jumped on this claim as if it were established fact without ever bothering to follow even the most basic standards of journalistic ethics.

If they wanted to only debate whether or not to build a wall, fund food stamps, build another carrier battle group or whatever that's fine. But when day in and day out the only thing you do is just bash the president with stupid lies all day, how does that promote the social discourse necessary for policy to be decided upon? 

I say any news outlet that publishes such trash should lose their broadcast license. We shouldn't tolerate this bovine scat any longer. They can still publish their garbage on the internet but at least the airways would be cleaned up.

LOL. I agree. But I was talking about the broadcasters who ran with the story like CNN and NBC. I expect such scat out of websites like buzzzfeed. But CNN and NBCand the others are "supposed" to be legitimate journalists. They're the ones really at fault here. If they hadn't trumpeted the story few would have seen it.

You make some interesting points. Many today do not the understand the importance of the Roman Empire. I was reminded of this on a German river tour excursion and visited some sights "civilized" by the Romans. They were pretty damn smart folks. We are in a fight to preserve the ideals of our founding fathers as having maintained a representative government for about 250 years is quite an achievement accomplishment. We have to accept that we of the human race are inclined to self destruction.

I agree, taking their licence does nothing to slow them down. In truth, no one needs a license to disseminate their message, not with the Internet at everyone's fingertips.
