The best was Usama Bin Ellison sitting next to Debbie Dingbat Schultz, you could almost feel the horror.....I wonder if he had a leash and a dog collar around her neck.

Once again democrats showed us why hey are losing elections. Please keep it up.

The irony of democrats parading illegal immigrants and Trump inviting the kin of folks killed by illegal immigrants was brilliant on his part. It seems to me that Trump has an answer/response for every stunt the democrats pull.

Agreed. I've seen a couple of speeches at his rallies where he brought up families of the victims that have been killed by illegal immigrants and it was emotionally moving to watch; doing the same before Congress was powerful.

IMO...President Trump was speaking and pointing (LOL) to the democrats. He spoke their language and took a page out of their playbook which shocked the crap out of them. They looked like a dear in headlights.

As for me...his democrat roots shined through big time. It blinded me. A trillion dollars in infrastructure that I paid taxes for already. Does this fall in double taxation category...?

Obama gave us 800 billion on the Stimulus Bill for "shovel ready jobs". Now Trump did one better by 200 billion. A trillion dollar Infrastructure Bill for guess what "shovel ready jobs".

It sure wasn't a conservative speech but then Trump isn't a conservative. I give him a A-plus for a great republican/democrat speech.

I support him but please President Trump stay out of my wallet...please...!

All of Obamas 800 billion went in the pockets of democrat donors. Lets hope the Trump money actually gets things done.

IMHO, President Trump isn't going to do anything unless he makes money at it and I'm not saying that in a negative way.  Pretty much everything trickles down to the taxpayer footing the bill in one way or another, but revamping the infrastructure is going to put a lot of people back to work and he's got corporations coming back into this country to do business and in a long run I have absolutely no doubt he has the ability to get this economy going.  Yes, he's going to make a ton of money in doing so, but I believe in doing so it will benefit most Americans in this country.  He is also curtailing illegal immigration which in itself will be a shot in the arm to the economy...illegals have drained this country for so long that it will be lifting a tremendous financial burden.

No ... I wasn't a Trump supporter, but so far President Trump needs to be given a whole lot of credit for what he's attempting to do.  He may be a liberal at heart, but I now believe that he is putting America and Americans first ... big difference from the liberal aholes in Congress.

This is a carry over from his campaign trail where he named and sited victims on a regular basis! What surprises me the most is There was very little new in this speech but all the MSM is raving about it! That tells me how little these people have been listening to him! Trump is still on his agenda and what I caught as the biggest take away is his reminding the RINO's of the campaign promises they made and his unswerving agenda to hold their feet to the fire to do what they promised the American people they would do!

I am finding it interesting the way the media is reacting. The facts are a huge majority of people who watched the speech are reacting positively to it, including democratic voters. But media sources are doing everything they can to avoid admitting Trump hit an out-of-the-park home run last night. CBS admits that 58% of democratic voters viewed the speech favorably - but of course they broke it up into two figures, 40% favorably, and later, 18% very favorably.

In short, media heads are exploding, because Trump is acting the leader they can only dream about seeing from their own politicians - after taking masses of hallucinogens.

You need to do some studying before posting this nonsense!

Trump always talked about infrastructure as being paid for by lease and severance revenue collected by private use of federal lands.

You believe that nonsense if you want to....!

He's going to get a trillion dollars from lease and severance.

How LITTLE people were listening to him during the campaign - he condensed and repeated the campaign speeches.  The few updates were "names" of cabinet appointees, and Executive Orders he's signed.   I was really surprised to hear all this 'glowing, Presidential, unifier, talk from the MSM - it's what he's been saying the whole campaign!!!  Yea, I listened to many of Trump's speeches, and Ted and Paul, etc., that's what you do if you're trying to make an educated choice.   I guess the MSM listened for the FIRST time... "Hey, he sounds presidential - wow!"

It's pretty difficult to fight against ideas you actually support...    DUH!   He holds several liberal positions, so he effectively 'defanged the opposition' - for now.

Here's the real PROBLEM...  He has got to start leading and driving his agenda (hopefully that's a Constitutional Conservative Agenda).
At best ... Trump got the attention of the Senate and House, now he needs to show solid leadership.  Nothing really jumped out as "new" to me, but we'll see what happens next.

Obama didn't use the stimulus as it was intended. he squandered it on his pet projects many overseas! Trump on the other hand I believe will spend it on American infrastructure, A real job creator! By getting people off public assistance and into real jobs it will create a broader tax pool and actually increase the federal revenue! Ronnie did this in the 80's with his 600 ship navy and military expansion! It looks like Trump wants to follow the same model but actually on a larger scale by not just rebuilding the military decimated by 8 years of Obama but also massive infrastructure projects long past do!
I do not want to increase our debit but I am practical enough to see that if we do not invest in rebuilding America and putting people back to work this country will continue in it's debit/death spiral and things will continue to get worse!
Perhaps there needs to be some strings on the funding like releasing it incrementally as needed after results begin to show. Example would be to give 25% of what he requested up front with a series of 15% payment after curtain goals are achieved! This would be a more reasonable approach then the stimulus given Obama! Congress needs to be active and involved!

Trump has been leading on his agenda but the Senate has hamstrung him this last month! There is only so much can be done by EO. The House and senate republicans both Conservative and RINO's must come together and drive the necessary legislation through for him to sign! It is the Congress not Trump that is stumbling. I am hoping that his real accomplishment from this speech will be the pressure needed to spark congress into action! He put it all out there for Americans to see with this address. If the republicans still refuse to do the things they were elected to do there will be hell to pay.
If the leadership in the house and senate still refuse to do the peoples will they should be replaced with a new leadership that will!

You've just identified (again), the area where Trump needs to show leadership.   It's up to Trump to push his agenda through the House and Senate - they haven't got the will power to do much more than sit on the sidelines.   Moving your agenda by picking away at the edges with executive orders (like Obama did), is hardly presidential.   Donald Trump is the LEADER of the Republican Party, he sets the tone, agenda and gets McConnell/Senate on board, as well as Ryan/House... it's not a One-Man-Trump-Show.   Right now, while Trump has the advantage, he needs to LEAD & DRIVE ... 'cause the Honeymoon is almost over.

I this case his trillion dollar infrastructure tax. We pay taxes on that already. Now where going to get taxed again...?

As far as the trillion dollar infrastructure tax "being paid for by lease and severance revenue collected by private use of federal lands" read up on it and you will laugh as had as I did.

Here I'll start you off. Get a trillion dollars out of this double taxation on business that crate revenue on government land. I guess their not paying "THEIR FAIR SHARE"...!

The infrastructure in this country is in serious disrepair.  I have a bridge around where I live that is heavily traveled and actually started to crack and was determined unfit for travel and had to be rebuilt ... yes it came out of tax money ... and yes we already paid taxes to keep that bridge going (and we're still paying excessive tolls to use the bridge).  No one wants to pay more in taxes. Fixing our infrastructure is greatly needed and it will put people back to work. The more people we put back to work, the more people we have paying into a'tax pool'.  In theory, and provided corrupt politicians keep their hands out of the cookie jar, taxes shouldn't go up because you have more people paying taxes.

I will support President Trump but he will lose my support with this trillion dollar infrastructure tax. My payroll tax and my wallet can't take it anymore. It's busting at the seems already. Especially when I paid taxes on infrastructure already. Why must I pay it again...?

Listen I wanna give President Trump support but every time I go to the gas pump I don't wanna curse this man out. I own a small trucking company and I pay more then my "fair share". I'm tired of it. I made it through the Obama years. I don't know how but I did. But i'm afraid Red Beard I will "NOT" make my business work threw a trillion dollar infrastructure "TAX" that will be mostly be paid by the truck companies. We will pay for it in the highway tax (There on lanes on the highway I pay taxes on that I can't even use"), gas tax or better yet a diesel tax, payroll tax, healthcare tax, tolls etc, etc.

I almost gave it up with Obamacare. It took a lot of time and money to make my business work. I don't have another fight with taxes in me. Oh forget it, they are my problems to work out. Have a great day. Here just for you Go Trump.

So if a store wants to make you pay double on their product because their roof is leaking you're willing and able to do that.....? I bet you will find another store to shop at. Then again I don't know you so I shouldn't say that.

I understand we need to rebuild our infrastructure. He's a thought. Maybe get the money from somewhere else. Like all that money that is wasted on welfare. How about all that money that is wasted on third world countries that hate our guts. Tell the United Nations they have to find the funding somewhere else until we fix our infrastructure. Get rid of crony capitalism. Cut all government spending except for payroll. I can think of hundreds of places to get money from. After all Trump said it himself how we have to make American first. Let the other people suffer instead of us tax payers.

President Trump get the hell out of my damn wallet you tax freak...!

The thing is we DO know what Obama did. He put us 10 trillion dollars further into debt and spent it on illegal immigration, Islamic extremists, and other anti-American activities. The problem lies in the fact that the taxes we all have already paid into the system (you probably a lot more than me, but talk to the demoncraps about that...) have already been spent elsewhere.  That is not Trump's fault.

The additional fact is Obama sold his constituency on an $800 Billion "stimulus" for infrastructure projects that never happened. That also, is not Trumps fault. So Trump comes in and the infrastructure that was supposed to have been addressed over the last 8 years is 8 years more decayed, and is going to take that much more to get back in the shape it should be had PREVIOUS administrations spent our taxes where they were supposed to be spent. But thta's the rub - the money was spent, and now Trump has to figure out how to pull in $1T worth of additional revenues to do the job his predecessors did not do.

We all have to pay again, in some manner, because as a society we let previous administrations fritter our taxes away on BS. It is an upsetting reality - but again, not exactly Trumps fault, though he did take it on as his responsibility.

Maybe I just haven't paid "MY FAIR SHARE'...!
The thing is anyone who has spent the majority of their lives working for their living have ALL paid MORE than our "fair share." The manner the dims have turned the tax system into yet another welfare program with this, that, and the other refundable tax credit for snorting crack while raising a half dozen future welfare recipients, the working class has been unfairly taxed since the 16th Amendment was ratified. I have no doubt you have paid far more of a "fair share" than I have.

But what do you want from Trump? A Way-Back machine so he can undo all the spending of your taxes which should have been spent on our failing infrastructure? Trump has inherited a $20 TRILLION federal debt, a stagnant economy, a bitter and disgruntled (and justifiably so) population of small business owners and working middle class, a lying, agenda ridden media whose description is more accurately labeled the Marxist propaganda department, and a hateful, spiteful bunch of screaming assholes whose theme song is "The World Owes Me a Living."  If he actually accomplishes 1/10 of his declared goals and plans, he will accomplish more than any other president in history.

The reality is our infrastructure needs attention before it starts killing people. (more than it already has.) The reality is that between the RINOs and demoncraps, previous administrations and legislatures at both the federal and state levels chose to spend infrastructure taxes on other things. You and I both probably have been voting consistently against those politicians making those kinds of decisions, but to no avail. But the facts remain that something needs to be done.

Now the one difference between Trump and previous administrations (at least so far) is Trump has holding to his word on issues.  As such, he has more confidence from me than previous administrations that when he says the revenues he is talking about deriving from federal land leases, etc. WILL go toward genuine infrastructure projects. That will put more people to work who will also be paying taxes (some of them for the first time!) which, in the long run, will ease some of the tax burden currently loaded on the backs of business owners and the working middle class.

Meanwhile, just maybe you can find yourself in the position that the diesel taxes you are paying will actually go toward the purpose for which they were instated. You will still be paying those taxes, but at least they won't be going to give illegal aliens free cell phones.

Yes but it's a lot more to it then just that. I have to be careful with the IRS. I can't claim gas taxes on "deadhead" commute (going to and from loads empty).

I just don't pay at the pump. I pay for highway usage, gas tax, oh and Canada wants their "fair share" also with IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement).

I don't get a refund check from the government every year. I always pay, pay, and pay some more. Hell maybe I should just close shop and let someone pay for me. I can jump the fence, I can swim across a river. Maybe I can have five kids. I can identify as a woman and identify my dogs my kids.

A quick run down and I'll leave this alone.

One truck. Fuel cost is around .65 cents per mile (cpm). Maintenance is about .10 cpm. Insurance, Reg and fuel taxes can be a rough estimate of .05 cpm. Driver .40 cpm minimum.

Then pay your normal income taxes, the cost of the truck, and profit.

I guessing a normal business makes about 10% profit. Trucking maybe 3% profit.

The funny part is I married a CPA and my wife always told me I married her for the taxes....lol

I'm okay with paying my taxes. It's what builds America. People are missing my point. I don't wanna pay for something that I already paid for. I paid taxes on the same infrastructure President Trump is talking about.

All valid and very truthful points. I want Trump to get the money else where. Not a tax that I already paid into.

And, as I understand it, that is part of his plan. Getting the revenues from other places, such as opening up areas for drilling and other economic activities, and using those lease revenues. And while I personally doubt the $3T figure being tossed around for "potential" revenues from federal leasing, I do believe it will be a substantial figure. If those revenues pay even half of Trumps proposed trillion dollar infrastructure improvement, he will beat any previous plan by 10,000%.

Then there is the gas tax. Have you heard anything about raising it? I have not. As such, we all will continue paying federal taxes every time we "get ourselves a dose of petrol" as I once heard a Brit say, but AFAIK, no more than we have been paying. (At least at the federal level - state is another matter. I know the Montana legislature is eyeing a 5-cent increase to partially offset a revenue shortfall.) But, from the way Trump is talking, we will see a difference with where those revenues go - as in where they are SUPPOSED to go, rather than in the pockets of someone who dos not belong here in the first place, let alone living off our taxes.

Not a great relief from the knowledge that we've been paying and paying for decades with nothing to show for it. (LESS than nothing!)  But, the past is past. We cannot do anything about the way taxes we already had taken from us were spent over the last 50 years. And believe me, I'd like to. Take a few politicos behind the woodshed and introduce them to a hickory 2X4 for a few hours each. But, we can't change what lying politicians did to us in the past. And, neither can we justifiably blame Trump for what happened in the past if/when he uses federal gas taxes to help pay for his infrastructure projects. Again, at least this time (assuming Trump follows through) the money will be used properly.

Well, for those who are still in office, we can definitely do what we can to boot their sorry butts to the curb (or preferably the moon without benefit of spaceship or protective suit.) which will help to prevent future occurrences of their duplicity.

However, even if successful (which is doubtful for a long time to come, considering the carefully engineered safe districts the demoncraps have constructed over the decades) throwing out the trash still will do nothing to change what has already been stolen from the People and given away through various Marxist/socialist social engineering programs. I can certainly understand the objection to facing the need to pay yet again for that which we have been paying for every time we hit the road to go the the grocers, or Granny's house.

But the reality is that our infrastructure needs to be rebuilt. There is no arguing with that fact. And, also realistically, the only ones who can actually pay for what is needed are the producers in the economy. (ie: the workers, the business owners, entrepreneurs, etc.) My hope is that the claims of Trump and his administration come true, that their incoming policies will put a lot more names in the "producers" column of the economy, while removing a whole BUNCH of names from the "leeches, criminals and parasites" column.

So you use a tactic used by the leftists when they have no substance for rebuttal and use ridicule?

Why not tell us something about your educational economics background and why Stephen Moore is "Full of Nonsense" in the "facts" that he lays out?

You pinned me for what I am a leftest....and now I pin you as a friggin clown to laugh at and you're a moron at best.. If read my comments you would have seen where I addressed your la la land dream of a trillion dollars "severance revenue collected by private use of federal lands" you tax freak.

LOL
Another leftist ploy .. "Friggin Clown", "Fool", "Moron".

You Mad?
YOU didn't answer my post with YOUR expertise, YOU answered with a 'Link" to some obscure article by some obscure organization!

I can play the same game 'except' I can show the Financial Experts who agree with the economics!
Somehow I think they are far more educated on government workings and finances than you are.

And from your own link:

(And unlike Obama who strangled every source, Trump will allow access to them all!)

And these:
Founders Of The Committee To Unleash Prosperity

Steve Forbes
Larry Kudlow

Not mad tax man, just getting even. Just not going to take your name calling two year old bullshit. Understand...you tax freak....? Find someone else you can pull that shit on.

About the link. You give me a link to an opinion piece from the Townhall website on how you clam this trillion dollar infrastructure is going to get paid. My link was about how Tax & Royalty Revenue work on lease and severance revenue.

This is a trillion dollar tax Bill. You know it, I know, and Trump knows. You can hide behind toll roads as not being a tax and I will call you on your bullshit every time you tax freak.

Here you go you tax man.
