Here is why Ca is a win for the Right, and a sweep across the Nation.
This is the good news you aren't hearing on the MSM.

Unless I'm REALLY out of touch, it takes 67 votes in the Senate (2/3) to override a presidential veto. Nobody is projecting that sort of gain for the Pubs.
67?

I honestly thought it was 60.

Wow. Basic math. What a concept.

I think there is several factors being totally overlooked this election cycle.
The voters that have set out of the election process, those that vote libertarian, and those that sat on the fence without any enthusiasm.
These people most likely have joined the Tea party movement, and plan to vote in unprecedented numbers.
The polls haven't reflected these voters, simply because they dropped off the map, some didn't even vote, or even register in the last election out of disgust for the process or the options the Pub party gave them.

I'm still holding onto my prediction.
Anyone else want to take a shot at tomorrows outcome?

I think it will be closer to 59 in the House and six seats in the Senate. BUT, what do I know? ;D

I'd love to see seventy but I'll stick with my original prediction on the other site. 59 house seats And i originally said 9 senate but I think 6-7 going into election day. regardless it will be a great day to own the House again and stop further spread of Obama's socialism. It's too bad we will have to wait 2 more years to reverse the dammage the libs have done!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

60 keeps the other side from fillebuster.

Senate math is like this. If you have the office of president and 60 reliable votes in the Senate then you can steamroller the opposition. But if  you don't have the office of president on your side then you need 67 reliable votes to override his veto and steamroller your opposition.  ;)
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

65+ net seats in the House will switch from Democrat to Republican. The Senate pickup will be 9-10 seats. I'm still not ready to count out both California and West Virginia. I think one or the other could still break our way and give us #10.

I hope we can....... 8) 8)

I'll stand by my final SWAG.

+62 in the House.

+6-8 in the Senate.

But as Shooter alluded to several days ago, "Now that the hapless Pubbie dog finally caught the car, what does he do with it"?

Will those folks elected with Tea Party support be "assimilated" or will they have the courage to stand fast and make a difference?

Dan

Pepe, like I said earlier either they will pull the Republican Party towards fiscal conservatism or we will start another party that will do the job. This is the Republicans last chance.  ;)

That depends on what the Shoot Myself in The Foot PUBS do with the power we lend back to them. If they decide reelection is more important than integrity, they will languish in The Land of Nod a long time.

Yes we can.............pull Obama's teeth, fire Harry Reid's sorry ass and make personal private jet-less Nancy Pelosi eat some humble pie over in the minority.

Elections do have consequences and I'm going to ride the irony of that Obama quote till the wheels fall off.  ;D ;D ;D

If they ignore their mandate then they will neither have integrity or job security cause we'll fire their sorry asses in the 2012 primaries.

Shooterman, I'm serious as a heart attack when I say this is the Republicans last chance. If they cross us again then I'm done with them. I will be ready for a third party if these guys are corrupted by the establishment.

Pretty much my sentiments, Dan, but in the back of my mind I have this nagging 'I Don't Trust The A-Holes' feeling.

We certainly agree.

However, I cannot see the Pubs doing what MUST be done in order for the Nation to survive.

The Pubs must CUT 700 Billion from next year's (FY2012) Budget and another 700 Billion from the FY 2013 Budget.

Then they must wack another 400-500 Billion from the FY 2014 Budget.

Total Cuts of 1.8 - 2.0 Trillion in less than 3 years.
