Fox News reports this doozy.

====

Irony alert.

The American Postal Workers Union has extended its internal election after thousands of ballots appeared to have gotten lost . . . in the mail.

The union's election committee was supposed to be counting those ballots this week in downtown Washington, D.C., following a tradition mail-in election. But the union announced that only about 39,000 ballots were turned in -- and that "a large number of union members had not received their ballots."

As Federal News Radio first reported, the union has responded by extending the deadline to Oct. 14.

Workers now have until close of business Thursday to ask for a new ballot. It's unclear whether the mail mix-up will become an eleventh-hour campaign issue.

The union of postal clerks is separate from the National Association of Letter Carriers, which comprises postal workers who deliver the mail.

This is the same high quality service they afford to paying customers. Losing mail is an institutional tradition.

This is the same "high quality service" I have to drive into town once a month for.  I must also sort my mail as half the time there is something in it that is not for my P.O. Box number and have to give it back before I go home.

If the Postal Service would hike its Bulk Mail rates to that of First Class, we would get a whole lot fewer calls for rate hikes to offset traditional Postal Service losses.

And I would get a lot less junk mail.   ;D  ;D  90% of my mail is junk mail.

I only use my bills to make sure I am not being over charged for something I did not do or use.   :o

Speaking of Verizon rebates!.....    ;D

My cell is Verizon for 400 min a month and I only use about 10 to 15 min a month.  When you live this far out you need a back up and for on the road as town is over 60 + miles away.  An when I am helping out in the fields it is great.
