Just asked a Trump support, who is a very staunch Catholic, about her thoughts on the Popes comments. She said the Pope needs to shut up, go away, and get out of the US elections.

Given: Whether you are Pro-Life or Pro-Choice you need to admit the Catholic Church is supposed to oppose Abortion.

Yet every time a Democrat (Harry Reid, Barry Obama, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry) sings the praises of Abortion, LOUDLY, I have never heard a peep from any Catholic Priest.

And Ted Kennedy and John Kerry are/were Catholics ! When it is/was convenient for them to be so.

Some say Jesus Christ would not recognize today's Vatican. I disagree. He dealt with Pharisee Hypocrites His entire life. And it was they who demanded the Romans murder Him.

The Roman Catholic Church Hierarchy has degenerated badly (I was born and raised as a Catholic, and attended their Schools for 12 years.)

Would someone tell me, because I must have missed it.

This was why I posted it. I heard several Catholics call into a talk show stating that they didn't like what the Pope did.
A couple were angry that he intervened, several said they will take a closer look at Trump because of it but the majority of callers said they will take the Pope's word and even stranger, most said they'll back Bernie instead.

I guess it shows who Trump's supporters really are.

The Pope is a hard core fascist whose political philosophy was formed by wholeheartedly embracing Juan Peron as he was allowing National Socialist leaders to hide in Argentina to avoid the Nuremberg tribunal.  The Pope is fully committed to expanding this horrible branch of socialism, with "religion" a good cover.

Well said! The Vatican as well conveniently "hid" and distanced themselves from WW2 atrocities. A disgusting cult leadership, to say the least.

In America, one religious Order / Seminary is completely different from the next, not the students - it's the STAFF!  Some of those professors are so far LEFT, Elizabeth Warren would be jealous!

Then the next religious Order is so deep in Catholic conservatism, you'd think they were stuck in the dark ages, the guest of honor for the next burning at the stake might be YOU!

Polar opposites, and drifting farther apart - this pope isn't going to unify Roman Catholics, the USA rebels don't respect him, from either side... he's a laughingstock.

Inexplicably awful move by the Pope.  Wow.  Injecting himself into the outcome of a US-election, passing judgement on the Christianity of a person... who happens to be a US-citizen.  It's disgraceful.  Meanwhile, hrc is responsible for the deaths of US-citizens.
