I honestly think Mitch and many other reps prefer the easy way of  being the minority so they dont have to do a damned thing except get rich at taxpayer expense.

That is it exactly!!!
They loved blaming the Dim party for everything, while all along they secretly supported them. Commicare exposed the true RNC.

I dont even think they give a damn about the base anymore. A who get voted in 2018 care but the majority who get re-elected will be happy to be the  minority again.

Marxists took over the GOP for decades in the making, and now that they've been exposed, they don't care who knows, and they'll take the country down with them.
Now more than ever, it's imperative we seat all the TEA candidates we can.

Yeah, good observation - unfortunately, it appears you're correct, they LIKE being in the minority!

Never to be held responsible for anything happening in Washington DC.... and collecting a nice paycheck, wonderful retirement benefits, and best part of all - they can bitch all day long about how awful things are, without ever lifting a finger to fix it.

Now they're in a real pickle.   What do you do when you've lied your way into the leadership position, and the public expects you to follow through on those campaign promises?   Nobody else to blame!   Everything that happens, falls on -you-.

Life can be a bitch, eh, Mitch?

We have to give Trump credit for exposing GOPe for what they are. They have been running this scam for years.

Usually the "opposition" means you're not gaining... anything of value.

They're better at it than the Democrats, getting everything they secretly want, and filthy rich -and- walking away looking like heros, wringing their hands, "We tried, but without the House, Senate, POTUS...  could get nothing done!"

For me, it was watching them give the Marxists everything they asked for and more, an omnibus Bill packed full of RNC payoffs to their crony supporters.
Fuglosi even said, "We didn't ask for all this". Imagine that, the Dim party, the moral conscience, being more frugal than the gop'E?
Claiming they would kill off Commiecare, only to go to battle within the party to save it. Lies, all lies 24/7 from the RNC.

Oh, and I no longer really blame the GOP, my focus is on the RNC, the monied interests that keep the commies in power, the very entity that sees to it a steady flow of new leftists get elected to the GOP and old ones retain power.

I wonder what the rep party will run on in 2018? "If you are stupid enough to elect us again we will take another crap on you"

That's what voters like. Someone that whines about being expected to do their job.

Now that sounds just like out of the Dem's play book.

It depends on the campaign. Mid terms are more localized. However even the most conservative republicans up for reelection will have to have an explanation as to why the agenda is stalled.

Walter Josh

No one should be surprised by the non-performance of chinless chump McConnell;
as he heads up a progressive left Senate Party of crony corporatists, w/o principle,
whose laser focus is on power and wealth.
Since virtually all of these schmucks opposed Trump throughout the primaries;
is it any surprise they have undisguised contempt for him and his agenda?

If reps somehow keep the house  in 2018 the conservatives this time should not  budge  on refusing to vote for Ryan as speaker.

He either goes or switches to the democrat party.
