I don't think he meant dismissing them out of hand, rather, take them for what they are, desperate moves on the part of the left.
For years we've made a game out of dissecting the metrics of any given poll, be it weighted with Dims as is customary in polling, (whole other subject unto itself), or the size of demographic, ages being polled as opposed to an equal accounting of said groups and the area the poll was taken.
Over the years we've learned there are but a few polling co's that do it right absent an agenda, that most polls are paid for, and those paying expect a certain outcome.

This has taken years to exact, and the methods continue to change as we expose them.
The best way to really understand a poll is to look at the methodology used, the bare metrics, the questions they don't ask and how the word the ones they do ask.
Though some find this boring, I like to look at it as a million piece puzzle, where you only need a thousand pieces to see what the real picture is.
If the poll hides or refuses to post their metrics, it should never be taken as credible.

See, leftists like to have reality and truth spoon feed to them. They dont like to simply open their eyes and use common sense.

Exactly how many polls were right about the 2016 election? Thats how much you should trust polls as a reflection of reality. Only trust a poll if there is some kind of corroborating evidence. Most of us were not at all suprised by trumps 2016 win.

We know that the left has weaponized polls, and as solar said, the methodology of many polls has been found to be tweeked to bend the truth. So polls in general have a very poor reputation right now, so can never be taken alone as evidence of anything.

Im not dismissing the poll because i 'dont like what it says', im not an emotional leftist. Im dismissing it because, A) it says something opposite to what we can see with our own eyes. And, B) because i look at polls like i look at the tabloids, mostly bullshit.

Finally, a poll of "likely voters" and this poll is from the left-leaning Quinnipiac University that has Lion Ted Cruz leading with a +9.

I still say Cruz will win by double digits.

This is good news. If Texas loses to a Democrat it will send shock waves through the country. Since I have been alive Texas has remained a red-blooded conservative state. Cruz was a good candidate for the presidency and he has done a lot of the people of Texas and for the people of the US with his proven conservative record. While i do not agree with everything he has done, I would much rather have him over a lib.

I saw this article as well. Some may recall I have been saying I would take the over when the polls showed Cruz ahead by only one per cent. This is typical of the left and their polling. They historically go low on GOP candidates in an effort to keep the leftist supporters excited. Then to maintain their credibility they usually move closer to the truth as the election gets nearer. I believe this is also the case with these other so called "close" senate races.

Fact is, the gop'E needs a villain, they need the Dim party alive so as to have a tool to scare the base into supporting RINO out of fear.
It worked for decades, but now the Base has awakened and the fear is gone, we now know the real enemy is the GOP, especially after holding a fraud hearing on the Marxist IRS scandal, a scandal they were neck deep in when they covered up for the Dims. (Think McStain)
