Republicans are seeking to portray President Obama as the divider-in-chief, arguing the presidential candidate who trumpeted hope and change four years ago is now running an increasingly negative campaign.
----
"This nation was not made great by Americans castigating and demonizing one another," Romney said at a campaign stop in Virginia.

As November draws nearer, Republicans caution that Obama will seek to increasingly divide the nation.

"Obama was supposed to be this great unifier, but as the months go by he's becoming more divisive and the tone has increasingly been one of combativeness," said one senior GOP aide.
----
"He's a polarizer and a polarizer with a purpose," said Republican strategist John Feehery, who also writes a column for The Hill. "He's trying to polarize the wealthy as holding everyone back. And he's polarizing the country on other issues like student loans. "He's been good at painting villains while portraying himself as a hero," Feehery said.

Obama has been a divider since day one. If you look back over the past three years, he's stuck his nose in all kinds of news issues that shouldn't have had a comment from the president of the United States.

Holly....personally I would use other names to describe the black devil in the white house but I have put on notice from management......

I don't think the Republican party has to work hard to make the divider-in-chief argument.
I thought I was wrong one time but I was mistaken.

Seems "rich vs. poor" and "white vs. black" are the big ones he's trying to push.

Hmmm.  I see it as the working class vs. the gov-welfare class and the responsible class vs. the not responsible class.  But then you are right,  b o only see that he can play the race card.  You just have to love all that changes he has made for his socalled people.

Ah, you leave out so many! Such a list...

Male vs. female

Doctor vs. patient

Elderly vs. young

Islamist vs. Jew

Christian vs. atheist/agnostic/authoritarian government bureaucrat

Today's prob/libs profess ideas that are so stunningly stupid/ignorant/unworkable that they cannot be elected without plainly purchasing the necessary votes. It is what they now do, mainly with our tax dollars. One of the best ways to generate donations to a cause is to represent the cause as being on the "good" side of some conflict or other. Prog/libs aren't on the good side of ANYTHING, so they lie.
