Look at it this way...

If every democrat that used that word before around 1970, lost their job, every democrat over the age of 50 would have to be fired. Before they turned their hatred on white conservatives, it was aimed squarely at the black population. They didn't change that position willingly, but they knew that they had to redirect their hatred and begin the campaign of rewriting history and spreading misinformation, to remain a viable party.

It was republicans that brought their vile racism to a halt, which is why it was so easy for them to turn their hatred on republicans.
Even Biden has revealed his racist tendencies, when he commented, (as if surprised), that Obama was clean and could speak clearly.

Paula Dean is pretty shrewd. If I were her, I'd be givng Oprah a call, and parlaying this event into a massive pay raise.

I've known plenty of white people that the term could be applied to. We should just redefine the word to mean any scumbag, regardless of color.
