Isn't it past time for all states to form militia's with those who want to defend our country? Defend our Republic? To organize so that when the leadership that we elect fails do to their job, we step in and make the correction?

Individuals can prepare to defend themselves, but that's not sufficient. Those who love our country (all races) need to unite to go on the offensive with these destructive groups.

The States have rights - and so far Federal has observed the line. But who will step in the gap?

If Oregon or Washington had a militia, they could put the riots down. And ouster the officials who are not doing their jobs

And if all states had militias, there would be some pressure not to let anarchy get out of control.

How do they start to form though?

I have been calling for militias for some time now.  I do not know how to form one.

There are several Militia's operating, some openly, some under the radar. I suggest you check in with Oath Keepers if you are a veteran (or not) who have chapters in all 50 states....take it from there.

As far as forming your own militia, better you begin with a neighborhood watch, "armed" with cell phones and video camera's, among other things.  Protect your neighborhood first, then branchout to other "Neighborhood watchs" i your county/city etc.

I'd say citizens like yourself  having past experience in matters related to dealing tactics and matters of law enforcement would be prime candidates to help direct citizens like myself who need direction in such matter.

Good advice Billy. I might add he contact his local sheriff, they can guide him as to an accredited Militia.
Here in my county the Sheriff is always a member of the local Militias, it's a smart policy, seeing how the sheriff may need to depend on them if SHTF.

That is why I recommend a neighborhood watch. Organize the neighbors to be aware of what is happening in THEIR neighborhoods, good Law Enforcement, good military operations DEPENDS ON INTELLIGENCE and COMMUNICATION !!!!!  That is why most Police Depts and Im sure the Sheriff's, as Solar has indicated, fully endorse such programs ad can even train people what to look for.  As I often told my subordinates in LEO and Private security....YOU ARE A TRAINED OBSERVER, that is your greatest asset.... to understand what you are seeing.

Best of all nobody has to be Rambo to do this, Grandma sitting by the picture window with a pair of cheap Binoculars and a pad and pen to write down tag numbers and descriptions could be a very effective surveillace system. Nowadays you have a camera ad video on your phone, so convenient!

Next you want to know your neighborhood geography and all ingress egress points. which route would you take coming from or going to the highway/freeway?  Where would your assailant's/ crooks be coming from?  Where would be a good "Chokepoint" to intercept them? Is there a college Nearby....how whack job leftist are they?  FIND OUT!!!!!

KNOW YOUR ENEMY AS YOU KNOW YOURSELF!!!!!!   Study these ANTIFA jerk offs.  Chances are they don't live in your neighborhood or even your state but come from the outside....HOW CAN THEY GET THERE??? They have been using charter buses to go from point A to Point B....where would a charter bus discharge its passengers? What STAGING area would they use close to a intended "target" like a statue or a business they want to destroy. More importantly where would such bus wait to pick them up later? Think parking lots big enough to maneuver a 60 foot vehicle.  Sometimes they uses vans or private vehicles, same thing applies. If you can get pix or video's without their masks thats a big score.  Dont forget, they can wear masks, change their clothes BUT CRIMINALS RARELY CHANGE THEIR FOOTWEAR.

Prepare for your worst case scenario, if you must defend yourself make sure you know how to use whatever you choose to defend yourself with, be it a firearm an edged weapon etc. Know the laws of your state on concealment, open carry castle doctrine etc etc.

This is rumor.  When BLM came to Spokane, WA., there was a militia there to help the local LEO's and they were grateful for the help.

There were some skinny white kids doing a BLM thing about 30 miles from me, but the guys at the local gun shop said most of the idiots were bused in.  Which makes sense when you consider where we live.  A BLM idiot gathering withing 75 miles of me would be a surprise.
