In a recent interview for Parade magazine, Oprah Winfrey had this to say about the possibility of Sarah Palin running for office.

Asked whether the thought of Palin's running for office scares her, Oprah said: "It does not scare me because I believe in the intelligence of the American public."

It is beyond my ability to conceive that Oprah Winfrey, media mega-millionaire, has not grasped the fact that her entire one-woman industry is based on the fact that a HUGE number of Americans are stupid enough to watch her show and support her sponsors.

I think she should have pointed out that she has faith in a VERY LOW LEVEL of intelligence.

Your BINGO is exactly right-on. Without the Tea Party movement, the 2010 election would have been an endorsement of just the same ol' shit. WOW, did things get done last month!

Boehner, God love him, is a RINO. But I want to think his heart is in the right place, and that he'll guide the House to do good things. Time will tell.

The fact is, Tea Party revolution or not, it takes time. The only alternative to change over time is armed revolution, and I don't think anybody's on record as advocating that.
