Where in the Constitution is your Identity "protected"?

It isn't but where in the Constitution does it give the Government the right to dictate how a private entity conducts business?

Interfering with the First is what this comes down to, it is a form of punishment for voicing an opinion.

Perhaps the closest thing to protection of ones individual privacy stems from the 4th Amend which states citizens shall be secure in their homes, papers and effects.

If one is using a computer in the privacy of ones home to communicate thoughts, opinion's or ideas (1st amend) then it goes double. While our forefathers couldn;t have conceived of the Computer I would say "papers and effects" covers it under the 4th.

Where in the Constitution did the states give the government this authority?

I think we all just educated Ira this morning and can expect to hear a retraction later today.

I don't agree with this, but find it interesting that it came on the heels of two separate people being arrested for making "threats" against Obama via Facebook.  Many others were made via Twitter, and usually, people don't use their names on Twitter.  Add to that the "skeet shot seen round the world" that we were told not to edit, then everyone did, I am sure they are looking for ways to close the anonymity gap of the internet.  For the greater good, of course.

This is crazy but definitely a lib thing for sure. When I was on a BRN forum at one time I used my real name and after a while did get a little worried, then their site crashed and I went anonymous when we had to re-register. Well after the site was closed down mostly due to the libs having dozens of Aliases to HIDE anyone ever figuring out who they were a lib member started their own site. Well they are on a mission to divulge who every con poster is, they even start threads about finding out who posters are and post pictures of them and where they work. One of the admin. even posted an IP address stating it was a poster their to prove or show they could, They were shown to be wrong and showed she MADE things up just to look good to her other liberal friends. This same lib poster has admitted to knowing a snitch who works for the county sheriff's dept. and has gotten info in the past.
My point is like I say all the time they want to know who YOU are but not them. Just like some of their screwy laws are for commoners but not them!
