Illinois state senator pushes anti-anonymity bill

There is no way in Hell I will ever divulge the privacy of my forum members, Libs or Conservatives!!!

A recently introduced bill in the Illinois state Senate would require anonymous website comment posters to reveal their identities if they want to keep their comments online.

The bill, called the Internet Posting Removal Act, is sponsored by Illinois state Sen. Ira Silverstein. It states that a "web site administrator upon request shall remove any comments posted on his or her web site by an anonymous poster unless the anonymous poster agrees to attach his or her name to the post and confirms that his or her IP address, legal name, and home address are accurate."

This is frightening stuff. Just the fact someone would introduce such a bill...

Right now there are thousands of anonymous posters of forums Ira Silverstein and he will never know who they are.

I guess that's irany instead of irony.

There are always unintended consequences. Just think about the insanity that libs post. Would they really want people to know who they are?

Somehow or another, I believe the libtards would get away with it.  This amounts to making the jobs of the Oblamerites easier because they don't have a clue as to how to monitor and report all of the  forums out here.  All that Senator is doing is making it harder for the sheeple to keep up.  Get us to give them the REST of our info?  Who else is that stupid besides the libs and their mastertard?

Insane stuff. Thats why one should use a contrived "online identity"
not their own real name, email etc, when posting on these forums. I did long ago just for instances like this.

Regards anonymity.  I do not support the actions in this Bill, however I do not believe we have any right to Anonymity.

Biometric data, to the extent needed to uniquely identify the individual, among the mass of humanity is no intrusion.

I see no concept in God's or Man's law that grants any right to Anonymity.

This has nothing to do with not revealing you Identity during the course of every day life.

By extension, this law could easily apply to legal protests where people holding signs in protest of the Govt.
Are you saying the Govt has a right to stop you and force you to identify yourself if they don't like the message, or force anyone attending the protest to submit an ID prior to attending?

We know how the left works, it's called precedent, and allowing this encroachment into our right to the First Amendment is only the next step in relinquishing the Bill of Rights.
