Title: Oops, Thanks Taylor Swift
Post by: Solar on October 12, 2018, 06:06:56 PM
Her call to back the leftist Dim completely backfired.

Taylor Swift's "End Game" may be to keep Marsha Blackburn from being elected to the Senate, but Tennessee voters appear to be shaking off the pop star's endorsement of her opponent.

On Sunday, Swift urged her 112 million Instagram followers to register to vote and cast their ballot for Blackburn's opponent, former governor Phil Bredesen. After her post, voter registration in Tennessee went up to 65,000 registrations in a 24-hour period. However, a new New York Times poll on Friday shows Blackburn is ahead of Bredesen by 14 points.

Democrats rely so heavily on celebrities. It's juvenile and it's proof that their policies are not popular with the majority of the country.

These so called celebs are in for a total shock come midterms.
I honestly think they haven't a clue just how hated the left is. Bubble Dwellers.

Very well said. I've had talks about this before and hear about the left's reliance on pop culture to send them voters and push their agenda. Then again, while all of this is funny in doses I di find it to be somewhat irresponsible that Talyor Swift is trying to push causes and agendas she has no idea about. She should stick to singing about breakups instead of talking politics.

Yep, stick to her strengths. Destroying relationships seems to be her forte, writing about things you're good at, but opening her yep and entering the realm of political commentary? Puts her on par with other lefty geniuses like Rep. Hank Johnson, Guam will Tip over and capsize.
Or, Joycelyn Elders, "We can make safer weapons; we can make safer bullets."
Rosie O'Donnell: "Don't fear the terrorists. They're mothers and fathers."

Nancy Pelosi on the economy: "Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs."
But my all time favorite...
Marion Barry, former mayor of Washington, D.C.: "If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very, very low crime rate."

There's just something about being a liberal that appears to require no thought whatsoever, and speak solely from an emotional POV.

What's been interesting is the pushback by Americans onto the Dems and Hollywood.  The harder they push, the more they're rejected.  President Trump's approval numbers show that, as do box office tallies and Congressional polling trends.  The Dems are in political quicksand, where the more they ramp up, the  more they sink.

Best analogy yet!
