While watching this video, the guy in the band was commenting on how his generation (the 80s) was a more innocent time.
Yeah, we all say that, I say the 50s and 60s, but then it dawned on me, he may very well be right, it may be the very last decade of innocence.

Looking back, the 90s were pretty sucky, then 911 hit and we lost a shit load of freedoms, and now the Marxist came to power and degrading the Country even further along with our buying power and a debt we will never see paid.

Yep, the guy was right, the 80s were a more innocent time, how sad....

Nope, early fifties.
Of course, and my dad said the 20s, and his dad told me the 1880s, point is, the 1980s really were the last innocent generation.
Think about it, Patriot act, then socialism under Husein, the 80s gave us Reagan, restoring faith in America.
In spite of your own feelings, there is no denying the 80s were an easier time.

It will be up to us to return America to her former glory, by ridding the Nation of commies.

Well I was young in the 50s but I say the 50s....the 60s had those disgusting nam protests and that was the start of berkely and the breakout of the libtard movement...
the 70 and 80s was full of feminazi bullshit...and then 911

I have to go with shooter the 50s

When was the last time you could get on a plane, without being searched, or paid less than $2.00 per gallon of gas,
never heard of hate crime, fags getting married, products still being made in America.

The list is endless, but America was a far different place, the 80s was the last good decade.

I believe this country lost its "innocence" during the 1960s.  The Vietnam War, massive protests, race riots, three major assassinations, rampant drug use..................the list is endless.

The 70s were OK, but then Jimmy Carter came along in '77 and flushed this country down the toilet.

Ronald Reagan saved this country in the 1980s by restoring confidence and pride in our country.  Go back to the 80s music as a perfect example.  Happy music.  Music that had real lyrics and was played by real musicians.  All of those "one-hit wonder" bands.  Compared to the 90s "Seattle grunge" scene and the teenage angst music of the 90s, and the rap and other CRAP that has been prevalent since then, the 80s music was the high point.

So, I have to agree...............the 1980s was the last GREAT decade of this country.

I agree, it's been a steady decline ever since.

Until we can fly without having to piss in a cup, or turn on the radio and be assaulted by rap, the Nation has seen it's better days.
But I'm not saying the future isn't bright, after all, we did just beat the Hell out of the commies. 8)

The fifties were the best, I was still a kid but everything seemed wonderful, My Dad always said it was America heydays the sixties were okay...up to a point then Kennedy got shot and the world seemed to turn upside down. Then came nam and the protests, scumbag hippies, drugs so the 60's sucked. The 70's were worse, Jimmy Carter really messed things up...come to think of it, the 80's were the personal best for me.

I noticed the change in the early 90's, we started to get more divisive thanks to Bill Clinton and the social engineers.
