So we don't have enough disease coming across the border, let infest our troops.

(Reuters) - The United States announced on Tuesday it will send 3,000 troops to help tackle the Ebola outbreak as part of a ramped-up plan, including a major deployment in Liberia, the country where the epidemic is spiraling fastest out of control.

The U.S. response to the crisis, to be formally unveiled later by President Barack Obama, includes plans to build 17 treatment centers, train thousands of healthcare workers and establish a military control center for coordination, U.S. officials told reporters.

QuoteMy main concern with this is that we are now taking 3,000 troops away from our homeland and sending them over to Liberia and they obviously won't be here to defend American soil.  You cannot convince me that has not be done by design in order to keep our troops busy elsewhere.

Obama is ordering the destruction of our military capability, ordering troops into those areas AHEAD of proper HazMat protections. He wants those troops to carry Ebola back and spread it here in America.

I think that closing the borders should be first on his list to limit the contamination chances for the US, but it may be too late for that.

Even for those of us who are willing to know / tell the truth about Obama....it's still mind-numbing to think we've got a US President systematically destroying the US from within.

This is the kind of shit we've only ever seen in history books about this or that revolution, or movies like Mad Max.

We're living the dystopian self-destruction that we only ever saw in fiction before.  Or the history of far-off crap-holes, that could never happen here.   Hard to believe that we're really living it.  I guess it just happens in every country at some point.  Hard to believe it's here.

Agreed.  What does that say though about our 535 members of Congress?  They have been unable or unwilling to reign him in.

I am convinced more so than ever that "We the People" are really on our own.  Guns, ammo, gold, silver, food, water and a whole lot of praying.  I just wished the hell we would have moved to a more remote location awhile ago.  I don't think we have a lot of time left.

Anyone still think we're going to even see an election this November?

Yeah, it's here and we've got to contend with millions of zombie-like people who answer to the liberal call of their messiah.  Everything that's going on right now is somehow supposed to happen to create that "change" that Bozo spoke so often about.  Well, the left "hoped" it into reality and it is definitely here.  But, just look at what "they" are going to have to contend with.  I don't have an ounce of pity for anything that is going to come their way.  I'll be too busy trying to fight my way thru all of it.

This plan is just ridiculous.

Automatically there's an additional $88-million figure.  Automatically there's a $58-miiion figure to Mapp Biopharmaceutical Inc., who wasn't even on the map 6-weeks ago.

'Protection kits' with 'sanitizers'...  From which manufacturer?  Watch my hands closely so you don't see the kickbacks.

Ohh, the President is gonna visit the CDC to show his 'commitment'.  How relevant.  He can play East Lake I guess, as the course should still be in Fed-Ex Cup condition after Sunday's play.  There's also Atlanta Country Club, which was Bobby Jones' home club.

That's a really scary thought, and you are likely right.  We'll soon see him, his big butt wife and two rugrats running around in hazmat suits while we, the peasants, drop like flies on the street.

It will be just like the opening scenes in  "I Am Legend" where Will Smith and other important officials / families are getting ferried out in helicopters.  Didn't work out for poor old Will, but that's the gist of things.

Us in the country who know how to take care of ourselves, will have the last laugh.  Military / police / agencies aren't omnipotent and omnipresent...they'll get worn out by the 100-150 million people going wild in the cities.  Won't be enough left of them to do much with us.

It was the Atlanta Athletic Club that owned East Lake where Bobby Jones played. When the area deteriorated the club sold its downtown club for mucho dinero and built the Atlanta Athletic Club in Gwinnett County.  The Atlanta Country Club in Cobb County was built in the late 50's or early 60's.

This is disturbing on many levels.  Our troops are not in place to be health workers.

They are going to send 3,000+ people to be exposed to a deadly disease.  And then, they eventually come back HERE, having been exposed.

It is one thing to send financial aid or supplies, quite another to send PEOPLE to that danger.  Then, have them bring it BACK.  Doctors or other health care workers who have been there are volunteers.  The troops are not.

THIS is NOT the proper use of our military.
