Trump trashes NATO underspending was going to be the head here until I saw an accompanying story which explains the last paragraph in the first news account. That 'graf reads:

Quote"And I never asked once what the new NATO headquarters cost. I refuse to do that. But it is beautiful," he said.

So back to the main story, in which Trump got in the faces of those same underspending NATO slugs, and told them they'd better bump their contributions up to the 2%-of-national-GDP which member nations had promised to do. (Only a few actually try.)

As for the related item?

QuoteIn fact, the building cost an astounding $1.23 billion, according to a budget released by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Architecture, design, and quality management cost the alliance $129 million alone. Audio visual installations ran $29 million, while construction ran $514 million, the document states.

Question. Why are we paying their bills?
