Obama Also Issues "Ebola Amnesty"

Lost in the hoopla of President Obama's enormous administrative amnesty affecting mostly Mexican and Central American illegal immigrants is that he also implemented a special protective order allowing people from Ebola nations to stay in the United States.

It's amnesty on steroids! The special Ebola reprieve was issued separately—and quietly—via a Temporary Protected Status (TPS), a humanitarian program that's supposed to be short-term. Instead, we've seen the provisional benefit grow into a continual U.S. residency plan for illegal aliens under both Republican and Democratic presidents. Besides those who have entered the U.S. illegally, TPS has also helped foreigners who have overstayed their visa permanently evade deportation. That makes the phrase "temporary" deceiving and somewhat of a joke....

...This week's TPS du jour was issued "due to the outbreak of Ebola virus disease in West Africa" and officially takes effect today, according to the government's announcement. Besides nationals of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, it also covers "people without nationality who last habitually resided in one of those three countries," the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) document states. Not only will these folks not be removed from the United States, the agency assures, they are authorized to work in this country like all other illegal immigrants benefiting from TPS.

Seriously?  No, they aren't going to leave. They will have all the perks and benefits (even more so) of being citizens.  We have approximately 20,000,000 illegals in this country that our elected officials have allowed into this country with no plan on returning them to their country of origin.  They are here to stay.  All Obama has done is expedited the influx of illegals and further ignored our existing immigration laws.  U.S. laws don't apply to illegals only to legal American citizens who try to stop them.

Jimmy Carter did the same thing with the AIDES/HIV infected Cubans back in the late 70's....look where that got us.

Exactly.  We've been told to be quite  and that the new Congress will take care of our concerns before.  And we've been quiet, and unfortunately, they haven't taken care of our concerns.  Quite the opposite.

How about this, rather than wait for some Washington doo dah to "do something" start "doing something" yourself, like NOT PATRONIZE establishments that hire illegals or possible EBola infected perosns, Organize Suze, get together with your neighbors and start a grassroots movement in your community to identify and isolate such persons.

THE SAME APPLYS for illegals, don;t hire any, don;t hire any tradesmen to work on your house unless they verify that thier staff are legal.

I'm not sure we can pin that particular tail on the jackass from Georgia. Castro was anxious to get rid of homosexual male Cubans, and there probably were some HIV/AIDS cases among the roughly 100,000-125,000 refugees that came across in the Mariel boatlift, but Carter certainly didn't know it. HIV/AIDS was not even recognized by the CDC until 1981, after the boatlift had ended and the peanut farmer was out of office.

Well, in theory that should work ... the grassroots movement I belonged to that was for LEGAL immigration was shutdown and we were forced out.  Members at one time also spent time along the border only to be forced out.  We had some members who reported illegal hiring practices to ICE (with documentation) and nothing was accomplished.  It is a difficult task to accomplish when the "city" and "county" do the illegal hiring.

To be honest, the only time I've seen a decrease in illegals in my area was when the economy spiraled downward; many illegal self-deported.  Now the floodgates have been opened even wider.

America voted and I'm hoping this time our elected officials will finally do something.

You are correct about the CDC, that wasn't until under REAGAN however the fact that Marielitos introduced Aides was well known during the Carter years, The Mariel Boatlift was Castro's answer to Jackass Carter's "Human rights" campaign. Carter may not have known about AIDES/HIV but when the first of those refugees got to fort Chafee Arkansas and were being detained and processed by Federal police officers (some from Washington DC) the World Health officials and CDC were called in by local doctors it was then it was learned that many of the refugees were AIDES infected, the WHO recommended QUARENTINE and repatriation back to Cuba some in fact were sent back But many were processed and released into US society to spread the disease.

THE STATE DEPARTMENT prevented any Quarentine presumably from orders from the White house who thought it would look bad to 'imprison' them again after the president made such a Human rights issue over Cuba. The Carter Admin continued to process refugee's despite knowledge of the fact many were or might be aides infected.

In fact there was a whole wing at Washington DC Mental Facility SAINT ELIZABETHS Hospital that served as a ward for many of the HIV infected. Military Doctors from Walter Reed and CDC oficails went there all the time studying patients.
Some who were non political criminals and gangsters were in fact sent back to Cuba

I KNOW THESE THINGS FROM FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE....From Federal Cops who were actually serving at Fort Chafee and from Doctors who briefed us later.

You were ahead of the curve then. Wow. I know HIV/AIDS was certainly in the US by 1976, and possibly as early as 1969, but with a typically long incubation time, and considering that it was a previously unknown virus, plus the fact that it doesn't kill directly, but opens immunity doors for a variety of other diseases like pneumonia and Kaposi's sarcoma, it took a while for the folks in the know to figure it out. The Red Cross, for example, didn't issue its first warning about HIV in blood supplies until 1983, and didn't start screening donated blood for HIV until 1985.

A pocketful of excuses - "Oh, we only control 1/2 of 1/3 of the government. We can really do anything until we control the Senate and the presidency too."

Of course, when they did control the House, the Senate, and the Presidency, what did they do? They went on a spending spree and an expansion of government that wouldn't be surpassed until the election of Obama and the House and Senate were under the control of the Democrats!

Let us never forget that it George W. Bush and his Republican Congress spent more than all of the presidents in history up to that point in time - and most of the "new" Republican leadership are the same RINOs who were present during the Bush spending spree!

Lets not forget, it is these very same people that brought about TEA.
The worse things get, the more dramatic the solution. It took giving rino total control to show who they really were, spoiled socialists with a credit card in a candy store, before the parents saw a problem resulting in tough love against McCain when it was to be "his turn".

It took letting the left put a communist in power for the nation to understand that they too were just as corrupt and never had the nations best interest at heart.
In fact, they tried to destroy the nation, unlike the rino who were only out for themselves.
