It was the Bee that was behind the closure of the logging industry.

Of course the left never realized that the logging industry, the paper industry, planted 1000's of trees for their industry.
Too bad they never learned what conservatives have known, "if you want to preserve something, create a market for it".

I used to run the roads of north and central LA and it was logging country for pine trees. They would clear cut forests which had been planted thirty years earlier. The tree huggers screamed. Then the fields would be replanted and managed. Another crop ready in about thirty years. If that is not a renewable resource I do not know what is.

Exactly! To a lib, conservation is letting the forest get sick and burn, something they call a natural occurrence while ignoring the reality that man causes 90% off fires.
They wouldn't let us clear the Tahoe National forest of dead trees, claimed it was a habitat, then the forest caught fire and burned thousands of acres of ancient forest and they blamed Reagan for cutting the budget.

These people are stupid, they bought the lie the Sierra Club put out when they showed aerial pics of my area in the Sierra where sick trees, where clear-cutting took place, claimed it was destroying the watershed, yet neglected to show a closer view where the forest had been replanted with healthy trees.

Every time we have a drought (normal cycle) trees stress and bark beetles do what they do, kill off the weak trees, but the left remains in denial and blame Global Warming/man as the culprit, all the while ignoring a natural cycle of life, where man comes in and harvest the weak and stressed trees.
They convinced the Clinton Misadministation to close the logging industry down.

Know what you mean about the drought cycle. We have two cycles here, the drought cycle and the cycle in-between before the next drought.
