I've got to wonder how lefties are taking this bit of information but it appears Obama's trying to learn some lessons about presidenting from Ron Reagan. I believe this has been covered before but the article I'm linking - link - is in Newsweek.

I'm trying to figure out how to gauge lefty sentiment about Obama's new interest. Anyone regularly cruise lefty sites or forums? I'd be fascinated to know what excuses they're dreaming up for their favorite son's unseemly interest in Reagan.

Reagan's love for this country just radiated from him during his speeches.  Hussein just doesn't have that love for the USA.

I second that....... he needs to stop basking in the limelight of it all and  get to it....

Just maybe Old Obambam has figured out that turning from being a dyed in the wool leftist DIM to a so called conservative PUB worked wonders for Ronnie and has decided to give it a shot.

Obama's new mentor - Ron Reagan
He's being used as a disguise more than a mentor.

Haha @ Taxed!

Arpad, I like your line of thinking with this question~

Obama can not be a Ronald Reagan because Obama is lacking in truth, passion and conviction.

Obama can not be a Ronald Reagan because Obama is lacking in truth, passion and conviction.

And yet there he is, reading a Reagan biography, trying to sound like Reagan.

My conclusion is that Obama's finding it very tough to move to the left, evidence the gigantic, nasty, drawn-out fight over Obamacare and easy to move to the right. His complete capitulation on the re-authorization, in their entirety, of the Bush tax cuts being the example of how quick and easy his move to the right was.

Yeah, you are right! Bet I will be saying that a lot!

It sure is nice to find folks who think right!
