Therefore, we should align with those who are willing to work with us. Referring to the military, name me one Muslim country where the military is not corrupt. However, many of the Egyptian military were trained in the USA and lean toward us. That is enough for me.

Also, please explain to us how that model of moderation, Morsi, is superior to Sisi.

Egypt is the largest Muslim nation in the Middle East.  It has the best educated population and has been largely a secular state. The USSR played hard ball with the jihadists and required their client state to not kiss their ass.  This was during the time when our client state was Iran.  The Shah of Iran also dealt harshly with any jihadist. Egypt eventually tired of the Soviets aand turned to the West.  They stopped flying Migs and having their military trained in the USSR and started flying American warplanes and having their military trained in the USA.  Life was good for awhile!  Egypt used to be a favorite destination for western vacationers.  (My Grandmother traveled to Egypt).  It was safe and the loved all  things western and controled the lunatic fringe (until the Muscum Brotherhood killed Anwar Sadat).   Much of the credit for the instability of the middle east belogs squarely on the shoulders of former Pres. Jammy Carter.  Thanks Jimmy for the world we live in now.  How'd that Humanitarian bullshit work out ousting the Shah and supporting the Muscum Terrorists!  It's all part of the Carter Legacy!
