Actually the paper simply alerted the criminals to where they had the best chance of scoring.

The Rockland County Times, a Journal News competitor, led its exclusive report citing the juxtaposition of targeting gun ownership while hiring armed guards.  "Guns are good for the goose but NOT for the gander," Dylan Skriloff, the Rockland County Times' associate publisher & editor-in-chief wrote.

They can push for bans all they want. They seem to be working under the mistaken impression that the people trust them enough to meekly turn in their weapons. I don't think so.

It's unfortunate assumptions like this that got us Obamacare.

With the bribery, coercion, and stealth legislation/voting that occurred, and the after-the-fact corrections/exemptions to try and make all the problems go away, AND complete media support....anything is possible.

I can see this same template being followed to pursue gun confiscation, while us normal, honest people sit here saying "it could never happen".

There is no "can't happen" anymore.  Not with the way that the legislative process, and the AG's office, and the media, are being used by Obama.

I still don't understand how there aren't already 50 lawsuits breaking the back of this paper.

I think you can pursue a lawsuit, if you can illustrate tangible harm by someone else's actions, regardless of the legal issues.

Mental anguish, loss of affection, living in fear, loss of appetite, stress, etc....all things that liberals pepper their lawsuits with, all day every day.  If you can attach the meanings / purposes of outing people as "gun owners", there may be a little slander / libel in there too.

I think this is how we have civil suits filed, even after a legal-based suit has been lost.  People often win the latter even after losing the former.

Sadly we've become a litigious society and sue over the dumbest things.
Raptor got it right and someone did exactly that, posted their names and addresses as unarmed citizens so these idiot libs hired armed security.
