Is this supposed to make a point? All it does is tell thugs where not to go, wonder if it will drive more people to apply for a permit? Libs never think things through. To see the map, go to the site. The map indicates the addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. Each dot represents an individual permit holder licensed to own a handgun — a pistol or revolver. The data does not include owners of long guns — rifles or shotguns — which can be purchased without a permit. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location owns a weapon, just that they are licensed to do so.http://www.lohud.com/interactive/article/20121223/NEWS01/121221011/Map-Where-gun-permits-your-neighborhood-?nclick_check=1
This is outrageous. While it might deter burglaries, it could also set targets on where to go to get guns. I hope those involved will pursue whatever civil or criminal penalties are possible.
Keep in mind, these are only people with permits for concealed carry, (anyway that's what I surmise from the article), just imagine how many own guns that don't want the Govt knowing about, then multiply that by every county/state in the US.Is it any wonder they are afraid of us, and why they keep pushing for bans?
They can push for bans all they want. They seem to be working under the mistaken impression that the people trust them enough to meekly turn in their weapons. I don't think so.
I said before, so I'll say it once more. What started the shooting in the Revolutionary War - the real live let's start trading bullets part - was the Redcoats marching out of Boston to confiscate the weapons and ammunition of of the Patriots at Lexington and Concord. I swear, it sometimes seems as if the left has never picked up a reputable American History text. What are they thinking and who are they getting their history from - Gore Vidal and Oliver Stone?
I don't think they'll have to worry about the thugs coming to get their guns and ammunition. The thugs run the risk of getting the ammunition first - one round at a time. I'd worry more if I were their unarmed neighbor. Indeed, I'd demand to be included on the map if I were a long gun owner.
