NRA Blasts ‘Elitist’, ‘Hypocrite’ Obama in Scathing New Video

The National Rifle Association on Tuesday provided TheBlaze an exclusive look at its new video, which criticizes President Barack Obama’s opposition to having armed guards in more schools across the United States. The gun rights organization refers to the commander-in-chief as a “hypocrite” and an “elitist” in the scathing production.

Noting that Obama’s children are protected by armed guards at their school, the video asks: “Are the president’s kids more important than yours?”

“Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, but he’s just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security,” the video adds.

“Protection for their kids and gun free zones for ours,” the video concludes.

Good video. Personally I'm kinda iffy about the NRA- they generally have an appealing message, but at the higher levels of the organization, well, power corrupts.

I used to belong to the NRA but felt that they were a bit too radical for my taste.  Well with what was going on recently and then I watched their video "Never Again" about how they confiscated guns during Katrina and I decided that I would join them once again.  I think that like you said, you cannot be diplomatic with Obama or the Dem party. I mean they are going to use kids today.  That is pathetic and I hope that someone draws a correlation to the youth groups in Germany.   I am so against using kids to push a political goal.  They are a product of what ever their parents present them with.  Of course indoctrination must start young right.

The GOP has to be firm and direct and relentless because the media will either ignore or ridicule them at every step so they have to be so out front that the truth comes through eventually.  I used to watch Glen Beck when he was on Fox.   He was interesting and opinionated and  made some claims that to me just seemed to be outrageous.  Yet over time it did seem that much of what he said about Obama have come to pass.  I stopped watching him because he just seemed too outrageous but at this point I am thinking that he actually might have been prophetic.  I do not get the blaze so I have no idea what he is saying now but I think that it is very clear that Obama is a radical and will not hesitate to say or do anything to get his way.  With the media unwilling to question him on anything well those who do not dig into what is behind what he says will be left believing everything Obama says.  The GOP better wake up or they will be put out to pasture.

The NRA is the only conservative bastion that's remotely as dedicated to their beliefs as the leftists.

If anyone thinks they're too severe or fanatic, well....have a seat with Beohner, Crist, Snowe, Specter, et al.

They've shown the absolutely only cajones in town, vs. Obama's socialist march.

I agree. It appears the NRA struck a nerve and they even took a swipe at NBC.

I forgot to say that I'm an old lady and I am a member of the NRA.  If my doctor asks me if I have a gun, I'll ask him if he does.

My thoughts exactly. If anything, they're too "moderate" on the Second Amendment, but if their MILLIONS of AMERICAN members have this regime so worked up, they deserve your support.

The G.O.P. has lost the courage of their convictions.  Sadly they have become spineless, as well as leaderless.  Obama bitch slaps them on a daily basis and all we get are pundits worrying about how the G.O.P. will be viewed should they oppose Obama.  They need to grow some balls and realize whether they cooperate or not with Obama they are still going to get blamed for anything that goes wrong.  With that in mind they should say screw it and block just every and anything this administration is in favor of.

I first voted in the 1980 elections and was politically active during y HS years and never have I been so disappointed of my Republican party as I am now!!!!!!! :thumbdown: :cry: :confused:

I agree that they have to get over the blame thing.  The media is a branch of the Obama administration and the GOP is going to get blamed no matter what.  I do not think blocking everything is a good idea.  I think they need to get out in front of every thing this admin wants to send down the pipe.  Rubio last night laid out what a modified immigration plan would look like.  It sounded reasonable and the party needs to do more things just like that.  A doubter is not going to be convinced if all they do is say they are against what Obama is for.  Of course they are and I doubt that Obama says anything that is not designed to get the GOP up in arms about it.  He never acts to find a solution or a way to come to an agreement.  He just wants to put up false arguments that the media goes along with.  "Look at these kids, I want to keep them safe." he says and then says; "those who are against gun control are willing to let these kids get slaughtered."   Media does not say a word and not a word that nothing he has proposed will work and those that need to go through congress will never happen.  The press stays silent about what a huge waste of time the dog and pony show was. 

With the money for storm relief they should have passed a bill with just storm relief and let the senate be on point.  I am not a big fan of Newt but I do agree that the house has to be proactive and really up in the face of the Dem's or they are going to be slaughtered.

Frankly, I don't even tell anyone that I am.   Now I say that I'm an Independent although I have never voted for a Democrat.  Not to say that I wouldn't but I just have nothing in common with today's Democrats.

The odd thing is that the "old school" Democrats don't even realize that their party left them as well.   I have a friend who couldn't be more like me yet he refuses to consider voting for anyone but a Dem.


Today's political parties remind me of an old televisionn commercial about Oldsmobile, "This isn't your father's Oldsmobile".  Same for the two parties.

Now I'm dating myself.  :laugh:
