So i dont think trump really cares about this because its a made up contrived emergancy. if u cross the border illegally then u are a criminal. If u are a criminal u get seperated from your kids. Period.
However trump is backing this legislation to make emergancy fixes. Why?

Remember trump tricked the dems into rejecting a daca fix, exposing their tru motives.
Trump is publicly supporting this quick fix bill knowing ahead of time that the dems wont support it and so, just like with daca back in feb, the dems will show that they dont really care about kids or fixing problems, but r just using this to push a political agenda. Trump is playing them like a fiddle...again!
