QuoteNHS patients could be denied lifesaving care during a severe coronavirus outbreak in Britain if intensive care units are struggling to cope, senior doctors have warned.

Under a so-called "three wise men" protocol, three senior consultants in each hospital would be forced to make decisions on rationing care such as ventilators and beds, in the event hospitals were overwhelmed with patients.

The medics spoke out amid frustration over what one said was the government's "dishonest spin" that the health service was well prepared for a major pandemic outbreak.

If they'll let babies die, they'll let the elderly die.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. - Galatians 5:13

Just as much as socialized medicines failures, this also speaks to the cost of treating these COVID victims, it's obviously not just bed space, it has a lot to do with round the clock care for someone suffering life threatening pneumonia, relapse, and in a lot of cases, death for older people.
Their system was never designed to help a lot of people at one time, which is why the long waiting lists. Thing is, the rich elites used to come to the US for care, now they won't be able to with the virus...

Maybe if native Brits didn't have to compete with mass waves of immigrants for a bed that would help.

One other point I want to stress. Is this virus is taking a toll on world trade, be it fear of spreading or how long cargo needs to sit before it can be sterilized may take weeks.
My point is this, the items you take for granted today, may soon be in short supply, at which point there WILL be a run on them. So don't wait, spend the money on them now while they're available and stock up.
This will subside come summer, but it will be awhile for supplies to be restocked.

I'm not telling you anything ground breaking, this is an inevitability of the situation at hand. People are going to panic buy very soon, so get ahead of it before it hits.

You can never have too much ammo.
But it's simply an insurance policy being prepared for the unexpected or unknown.

If they'll let babies die, they'll let the elderly die.
And once they use age as an excuse, they elderly will no longer get care for a number of reasons. I expect the people will be quiet, after all a society that is quiet over the killing of the unborn won't raise too much hell over the killing of the old.

It's not the amount of ammo.....it's keeping it dry.......
People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Learned the hard way, don't keep 22lr in your truck. Guess the heat, cold, humidity, what have you, is not good for them. Found a couple of boxes under the seat, been there for a couple of years or three, and about a third won't fire. thank goodness you can buy it again.

Well said! The left has already stated what they would do with the elderly here under Commiecare. But the UK has built their system around a dumbed down system already running at bare bones.

Most people will be denied treatment if it  spreads quick simply because the NHS is not capable of adapting. It's system archaic and there simply isn't enough room or doctors and specialists. But hey, it's free.
