Beer Distributor Pulls Support of NFL

Schilling Distributing Company has made the decision to pull all Bud Light point-of-sale material featuring the NFL and New Orleans Saints marks following last weekend's National Anthem protests. Schilling has been locally Veteran-Owned through three generations since 1950, and it strongly supports our Nation's flag and law enforcement.
Schilling believes that while everyone has a right to peacefully protest, doing so at the expense of our National Anthem is not an appropriate way to go about it.
"With all the negative attention the NFL is receiving right now due to these protests, we do not feel it is appropriate to associate our brand with them in the marketplace at this time," said Charles "Buddy" Schilling, Vice-President of Schilling Distributing. "These sponsorship deals are made at a national level, and while Bud Light has been an official partner of the NFL and New Orleans Saints for years, there is no need for us to ask our retailer partners to promote such controversial organizations to help sell product."
Schilling will offer alternative programming to retailers in the meantime, including point-of-sale material featuring such messages as "Proud to Serve Those Who Serve" and "This Bud's for You, Louisiana."

America's Oldest Suit Maker Pulls Ads from NFL; CEO Blasts League's 'Unpatriotic Behavior'

"When I see Colin Kaepernick lecturing the "oppressed" wearing a Fidel Castro T-shirt you realize the hypocrisy to this stupidity. I love America. They have the right to protest and I have the right to turn off the channel and place our ads elsewhere. The next time someone ask the public to finance a stadium this will have a very longterm effect. These guys should really be the lead plaintiffs in the head injury cases–that's the only jury that will find sympathy!
If you will research why Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner you will realize why I am upset about these NFL players protesting. They don't even know what it is they are protesting.
The flag was still standing. 200 English ships tried to take it down. They kept it up all night and it could only be seen when the bombs were bursting in the air. So many patriots gave their lives to keep the flag up – and now to have people protesting who don't have a clue about any of this bothers me.
Please research Key's motivation for writing his famous song and you will see why I'm upset that the protesters don't have a clue.
Our companies will not condone unpatriotic behavior!
TAKING A STAND... NOT A KNEE!"

The local TV channel here had a piece yesterday about an owner taking reference and NFL products out of his three convenience stores. He is a Marine.

Watched part of a College Football game, it's not quite the same - I forgot what it was like not to see:

a.  full gown men, jumping around like a Quarter Back sack was special.
b.  celebrations in the end zone, like they've never been there before.  They must really suck, eh?   All those games and no TD...?!?
c.  ball spiking, spinning and treating it like an abused toy - wait, it's still a game, right?  My Doberman treats stuffed toys with more respect.
d.  a field of players, some of which I suspected had a rap sheet or a reputation for thuggery.
e.  general disinterest in the game, even for a known, long-time rivalry, players standing there, while an opponent runs free to the end zone, not trying to catch him.
f.   opposing team members laughing & joking around after a humiliating defeat, 'just another day at the office...'  Big smiles, like they were somehow "successful" or "happy" the other guys beat the snot out of them...  was it fixed?  Who threw the game?

Wow...  I had not realized how MUCH the game has changed... kinda like it more as a pure GAME, then all this crap crept in!
