Another day, yet another statue of a military hero is reportedly under fire. This figure astride a horse was vandalized with the spray-painted words "Tear It Down."

Who was this historical figure? General Lee? Stonewall Jackson? Nathan Bedford Forrest?

No, this was a figure who hails from the north.

Of France:

The phrase "Tear it Down" was hastily sprayed in black paint across the base of the golden Joan of Arc statue on Decatur Street in the French Quarter sometime earlier this week. It has since been removed, with only the vaguest traces of the paint remaining.

The "Tear it Down" tag would seem to relate to the debate surrounding the city's ongoing removal of four Confederate monuments. But the statue of Joan of Arc, a 15th-century military leader, martyr and Catholic saint, hasn't been mentioned in the controversy to this point.

Amy Kirk Duvoisin, the founder of the annual Joan of Arc parade that ceremonially pauses at the statue on the first day of Carnival season, says she's confused by the vandalism.

"Surely, people realize she's not related to American history," she said referring to the French icon.

The leftists destroying art that displays a part of our history is similar to when Islam was destroying writings and ancient artifacts during the beginning of the dark ages. They think themselves enlightened - while they desecrate what history has given them.

They want to destroy US history in general so they can replace it with their own warped interpretation with government as the center of everything.

I find Charles Barkley to be very entertaining. I'm not sure if he tries to be. His opinion shouldn't matter more or less than anyone elses, but his notoriety occasionally gets him on camera. Sometimes he's off on a tangent, but in the video (see link below) he represents a compelling perspective from an American who happens to be black.

It always amazes me how unimportant issues can get magnified and worked into a frenzy in our culture. LSM - thank you so much for helping us focus so much energy on very minor side-show issues while critical problems that should be a priority burn hot.

You talk about a website that took a turn for the worse. No matter what the article is about it's all Trump's fault. Every other word is Trump this, Trump that, and some more Trump. Matter of fact every article is about Trump. It's a shame the direction that website took. I don't know if i'm reading from CNN or The Right Scoop.

Yes Sir Charles has a way with words that make me laugh.
