Great answer. Not. Old, but great. Trumpophobe! So which "business as usual" politician do you prefer?
One more liberal President in 2016 will mean the irreversible, eventual and total demise of our democracy. The rise and fall of democracy IS past the "apathy stage" at this moment. If this  momentum continues on its present path, restoration of democracy will require the least desired of actions.

One issue I have with Cruz is "body of Christ" completely over the top proselytizing on the stump in Iowa.

I don't believe in Jesus Christ and I find in insulting and annoying when "conservative" politicians think they can appeal to me that way.

What makes you think they were appealing to you?
I'm not a Christian, have no use for religion, but I have absolutely no issue with their faith either, I see it as a plus when a man can humble himself to a higher power over Godvernment.

He wasn't talking to me e was talking to the Iowa voters but I don't like the influence the religious crowd has on GOP/conservative politics.  When push comes to shove the fiscal issues are most important and there are a lot of fiscal conservatives/social moderates that would support the GOP/conservative if it weren't for some of the dumbass things the bible thumpers do and say.

I have no issue with people of faith as long as they're not putting THEIR faith in MY face, which many of them often do.  The idea that many of them would not vote for someone who did not share their exact same faith down to a tee is absurd to me.  So is humbling myself for before a bogus man made mythology.  No thanks.  I have free will and a free mind.

I have been a Constitutional-Conservative since I became a Biblical-Christian on August 14th, 1976. Before then I was a Public School "educated" far Left Liberal.
I am a strict constructionist and Originalist on The Bible, The Declaration of Independence, The Federalist Papers, The Constitution, and Bill of Rights (I include Amendment 11 with the first 10).
I support Ted Cruz because as my research shows him to be the ONLY Biblical-Christian and Constitutional-Conservative in the race.
I personally use and accept only information, evidence, quotes, facts from credible, reliable, and verifiable sources, meaning that it should not be a "stand alone" source UNLESS it is from an site that has consistently been verifiable and credible for a long time with a solid track record for accuracy and being correct. The sites I rely on most are:
The National Review
Wall Builders
Bible Gateway
American Thinker
Right Scoop
Conservative Review
Jihad Watch
The Religion of Peace
Pamela Gellar
Western Journalism
Human Events
Conservative Fifty
The Federalist...

I am glad to be on board and look forward to working to restore America back to Constitutional governance.

God Bless.

-Rev. Larry Wallenmeyer.

You're well aware then of the fact that our founding fathers were deists (like me) for the most part and not Christians.

Some of those sources on your list are not bad if a little boring and conventional but you should add:

Dailypaul (now defunt)
Lewrockwel.com
infowars
prison planet
truth revolt
front page magazine
reason.com
cato.org
campuswatch.org
copblock.org
thefire.org
medicalkidnap.com
parentalrights.org

It's SC, the bible belt, he's talking to people of faith, a solid majority of the state.
Personally, I hate the fact that the nation allowed the Marxists to divide the nation over social issues, when there was a time everyone agreed on a certain set of values.
Now we have people like you getting offended over someones faith.

How petty is that?

Make no mistake about it.  I'll throw in with the bible thumpers before the moonbats ( I will nver throw in with the moonbats).  I just wish the bible thumpers would realize that there are people who agree with them on many issues but for different reasons and that not everyone believes or has to believe what they believe about god/faith/religion.  It pisses me off when I and others are judged by something I/we don't believe in.  I don't want to hear someone's opinion of my sins or trangressions because I don't beleive in it.  They can believe whatever the heck they want but they need to respect the fact that I don't believe it.

I searched to find this site, hoping to find factual, logical, informed discussion.  I'm very conservative.  Facts are what count for me, so I totally discredit false propaganda and irrational and/or religion based opinions.  For instance, I'm not a big Trump fan but don't tolerate deceitful propaganda about his positions, like false claims that Trump said he will be a different person as President.  I'm not impressed by religious attacks, including on evolution.

I hope to find people here who are reasonably well informed and unrestricted by political correctness.  For instance, I hope people here understand the difference between the two major branches of socialism (communism and fascism) and aren't too bound by political correctness to correctly characterize Obama and his ilk fascists.  For instance, I hope anybody buying into the global warming hoax isn't too committed to this secular religion to look at factual evidence.

Welcome. Most of us here believe in the TEA movement. We do not appreciate PC and understand exactly what Obama is and what he is trying to do.

As a person of faith I suggest you ignore when politicians appeal to a large segment of the conservative movement. You claim to deplore PC, yet you claim to be offended by candidates appealing to those where their faith is important. If you wish to stay way from people who discuss faith I suggest you find a lib site. I can assure you you will not be offended there.

Actually, it's the libs who REALLY ram their faith down everyone's throat.

Oh, that's too bad.  That is what I like about Cruz.  That he isn't ashamed to let everyone know where liberty and justice really comes from.
