Chris Christie relaxed at a New Jersey beach he closed to the public

A few days before the alleged beach trip, "Christie had closed the state's beaches and parks to the public after hitting a deadlock over budget allocation." NJ.com obtained the pictures, which show Christie and his family at the Island Beach State Park. There's a residence at that beach for the governor's use.
To make matters more complicated, at a press conference Saturday afternoon, Christie was confronted with the photos. He later told a reporter, "That's the way it goes. Run for governor, and you can have the residence."
This is only the second time in New Jersey's history that the state beaches and parks have been closed. It can't help that these attractions were closed to tourists the weekend leading up to the Fourth of July.

What brand chair is he sitting on? Whoever it is should use this to prove its durability... if it can hold Krispy then you know it's good...

Have I missed the part of the story reporting the beaches are closed because the democrat legislature has not passed a budget?

I always thought part of the fun of going to the beach was seeing all the other people there. If i were him i would have invited all the hooters restauraunts to send thier employees there for a day of fun.

He has use of a state own house, it is not his house. He closed a state beach park, he should have close his state beach house also. He pulled the same BS b o did closing Federal parks to get his way with the budget. I say sell the house and help the budget of the state.
