Know nothing about Stewart or NASCAR except they go around and around and around. Even though the death was an accident, the story says Stewart still plans on racing today. Should show some respect and sit out today's race. My first impression of Stewart is that he's a Jerk (at the bare minimum), probably a POS.

My money is Stewart is bound by contract, if he can he must race. Lots of big $ on the line in those races.

He pulled out now. Watched the video on youtube and you can hear him gun his engine when he approaches the guy. It was either intentional, he gunned it to get close and scare him, or he gunned it to try to get around him. I don't know anything about car racing either but there seems to be almost enough evidence to press charges. Of course, the guy was stupid for charging out onto the track to try to fight him so he bears quite a bit of responsibility.

He should be arrested and suspended indefinitely.

It is a shame Stewart had to pull out.  I'm glad the idiot who ran out in the middle of the track got hit.  I like it when stupid people do stupid things and suffer consequences.  It is sad he's putting Stewart through all this.

The moron was dressed in black in the dark, did he really think this was a smart idea?

Sorry if that's callous, but what he did, put everyone's life in danger by stepping out in the track like that.
My sympathies go to his family and the poor guy that hit him.

This is pretty much an open and shut case.  I don't understand people ready to label Stewart a homicidal maniac because some guy jumped in front of his car on a race track.

Because he's known to have a temper, this happened right after they bumped, and he revs his engine before he hits him. If that rev was to intentionally kick out and hit him with the side of the vehicle, then he is a murderer. If not, then people should leave him alone. But I certainly wouldn't want to look like the victim blaming jerk-off if he does end up facing charges. Guess that's just me.

Yep, he was an idiot for jumping on the track. All I'm saying is if it turns out it was intentional, you'll look about as bad as the people defending OJ.

Ron and Nicole didn't jump in front of a knife.  This guy jumped in front of a race car on a race track, and you're considering Stewart is guilty of murder.  Even if he did step on the gas, that isn't enough for me.
