Well I would write my representative, but that IS Boehner so it'd be sort of pointless for me. :)

I hope you didnt' vote for him last time around.

I'd have voted for his democrat opponent rather than vote for that POS!

Your such a nice lady ST.

The asking was after I told him what a failure he is and that he doesn't even come close to representing the "people".  Toy

No I didn't vote for him. I abstained on that particular issue, as I didn't want my vote going to the Dem.

As bad as Boehner is, he is still constrained in his liberalism as while some are more so than others, the voters here are overall  conservative in their views.

A liberal win of his seat would have made the libs think they have some sort of mandate from the people, particularly the people of this district,  to impose more socialism on this nation.

And that's the last thing this district, this state, this nation needs at them moment.

One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

I understand where you are coming from and I respect that.

The way I look at is, who would be more dangerous to the Conservative cause? A Spineless RINO Progressive as Speaker of the House, or a Freshman Democrat Congressman who will need to move to the Center if they ever want to serve more than 1 term in the House?

The GOP leadership has sent out that very  message to the party. The message is
that John Boehner is the practical choice. That reasoning is based on the fact that he has
"established relationships with Democrats,"  to the point that he is the man when it
comes to "getting things done."  It has been a few years, but we have been there.
The truth is John Boehner is a master practitioner of extortion with his own party and
the Democrats. His idol must certainly be Lyndon Johnson.  He is known to possess
extreme ambition of Lyndon Johnson.
Lyndon, as we recall, had just about everyone fooled. He was considered kind of a macho character. We even had a certain admiration for him. We all knew Lyndon played hardball politics, but unlike today's version, John Boehner, it never occurred to us that Lyndon's flamboyance  concealed immoral self serving methods that could backfire on the country.
Once Lyndon Johnson became President, though, it all came clear. Lyndon Johnson
did more damage to this country in six years than any other President in history; that is,
until the current administration.  The civil unrest we are currently seeing is evidence. We
have not seen anything like this since the Johnson years. Lyndon Johnson wound up in the mental ward.

Yeah, and Benedict Arnold had established relationships with the British!

Anyone remember how that worked out?

I will refer back to a Rush caller several weeks ago.

"If we wanted someone to work with democrats we would have voted for a democrat".
