You've carried your failed attempt to make a point far enough, thank you.

My attempt was to expose the lies of the newspapers.  And you say I failed.  That must mean you think they are not lying.  Is that correct?

You see, it was you that said they lie, not I.
So I guess the onerous is on you.

I merely contend that they have a severe liberal agenda.
And their liberal bias is no longer being accepted hence the graph I posted earlier.
Do you dispute the graph in that the Internet has given people a place to find the truth instead?

Yes, I do dispute that.  The graph clearly shows ad revenues have declined for newspapers, not that newspapers lie.  Or have a liberal bias.  And why have ad revenues declined?  Because news is free on TV and the Internet. Not because newspapers lie.

I would also like to observe that you are not interested in unbiased news anyway.  What you want is news with a conservative bias.  You admitted as much when you said you quit subscribing to the only conservative newspaper in your area (or some such).

It is true that journalists tend to be more liberal than conservative.  So do social workers.  The reason is that neither profession pays all that well, on the whole.  But this constant harping on "liberal bias" in news stories (I am not talking about opeds, I am talking about news) is hogwash.

I would also submit that a person who does not read newspapers is in a pretty untenable position to claim they're biased either way.  I would also submit that they tend to be ill-informed, especially on local and state matters.

More than 75% of self described conservatives see liberal bias. That means more than whether a liberal thinks there is liberal bias or not when we are talking about declining readership and ad revenues.

Take ideology out for a minute. If 75% of a group that makes up 40% of the population thinks you are not addressing their viewpoint then you are at a big disadvantage. This should be obvious to anyone who isn't trying not to see it.
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

But it's their very ideology that makes them "see" it in the first place!  That's why they flock to allegedly conservative blogs and web-sites.  The absence of bias means there is no conservative bias, either.  No conservative bias meand they're not having their pre-conceived notions reinforced.
