Hong Kongers in defiance of CCP, still held Tienanmen remembrance.

I know many of you don't care, but without a 2nd, this could be us.

Live broadcast in defiance of the Chinee Comies.

This is actually quite moving. We're watching history in the making. I'm watching all these people defy the CCP, something the CCP knows they can't let go on as thousands keep arriving.
Will the army crack down, or quietly wait and arrest them after the event?

Regardless, HK is about to become a footnote in history, all because they're unarmed.

CHINESE Yuan Registers Lowest Value in History

Compared to a basket of other currencies, the Chinese Yuan is falling fast. It has been dropping for a record 16 days straight, the longest run since the currency basket was created 5 years ago. It has now fallen 4 percent against the Euro and Australian dollar. The yuan has also been falling against the dollar but has stopped recently.

In late May, rising tensions with the U.S. contributed to the yuan falling to near its lowest level since 2008's financial crisis and factors such as the Hong Kong protests and the US-China trade deal could increase the value of the American dollar again, pushing the yuan even lower. If the Chinese Yuan continues to fall, it would put a major strain on China's entire economy.

Chinese international trade is also weakening. In May, exports fell to about 3 percent and imports plummeted almost 17 percent compared to last year. This is the biggest drop in 4 years. A large portion of China's workforce is in the export industry, but the majority of the international orders were canceled during the pandemic. Official data shows the profits of China's industrial firms fell almost 30 percent between January and April.

The United States has approved an arms deal with Taiwan — the second time in three months — as tension over the Taiwan Strait heats up.

The State Department announced on Thursday that it has given the green-light for the sale of US$620 million (HK$4.8 billion) in components and services to upgrade the self-ruled island's Patriot air defense missile system.

The department said the sale would extend the operational life of the missiles for another 30 years, naming Maryland-based Lockheed Martin as the contractor.

Taiwan's Defense Ministry welcomed the approval, adding that it was much needed to improve its defense capability.

Beijing-backed Global Times condemned the sale. It cited an expert as saying that the move was more "symbolic" than providing a meaningful boost to Taiwan's military.

"At the moment, the Chinese People Liberation Army's conventional missiles can be used for mobile operations, and their launch preparation time is very short, meaning the PAC-3 could not react in time. Considering their success rate of launch and limitations to interception, there is a much more symbolic meaning to the arms sales, rather than actual military value," Yang Chengjun was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, tension remains high across the Taiwan Strait after reports that two Chinese bombers bombers deviated from their route on June 28 and approached Taiwan's airspace via the Miyako Strait, before returning to their original path.
