This probably would not have happened before Trump, not in Minnesota anyway.

I agree, and for so many reasons. Trump has the Dims on their backs, GOP Conservatives in the spineless GOP finally have a voice and the Nation is sick of Marxists .

What is the legal aspect of demanding and getting the IRS to audit her? What is the reality of the IRS auditing her?

They can't deny the evidence. The IRS will be investigating. Hell, maybe she'll skip country and go back home.
As despicable as she is no lawmakers should be able to call for action against a citizen by the IRS. That being said, it is the responsibility of the IRS to investigate suspicious activity.

I seem to recall the IRS used to give a reward for people to rat out others. I imagine politicians make as good of rats as anyone else.

Congress writes the law, they're just asking that the IRS follow the law.

When there is probable cause that a crime has been committed, the lawmakers have a DUTY to take action. They wouldn;t be saying this unless there was some hard evidence.
