Merry Christmas to all!
I was thinking I was going to have to drag you out of the bar. Merry Christmas taxed
My Personal Observation prior to ChristmasI live out next to a Forest so don't see people every day or even week. When I went to Town the week or two before Christmas there were 10 times as many people saying "Merry Christmas" compared to last year. What do I attribute that to?People hoping to have a really nice Christmas as there was nothing else that provided anything promising or good to look forward to.
This says it all.Stopped by the lib forum (Blueridgedebate), guest of course, and while I did not do a complete search the only reference to Christmas was in a thread titled Christmas for Atheist, imagine that. At least one poster used "Christmas" while the others mainly used 'Holidays".That crowd doesn't even take a break from their anti everything ideology during this special time of the year. Maybe Santa brought them a new brain for Christmas.
Glad to have you on the sane forum Reality. I was once there and haven't posted there in about 2-3- weeks.
Same here, and I noticed the difference as well, You may be correct in your conclusion, but I wonder if a lot of it has to do with losing freedom of tradition?Regardless of what the left and it's voice the media purports, people don't like what they see happening to our culture, people just like me, I am not a Christian, but I'll fight to keep their faith front and center in the country. It is their faith that built this country and made it a beacon for freedom in the world, and I'l be damned if I'll let a bunch of commies destroy that!
As an atheist, I concur!(Please note that not all of us atheists are rabid anti-religious types. I have no problem with wishing people a Merry Christmas - I even to it myself!)
