Well that big of him.     He delaying it.  If he did not Trump would have done away with all of the August recess.

The Senate will delay the start of its annual August recess to give lawmakers more time to work on "important legislative issues" and winnow the backlog of President Trump's pending nominations, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday

I'm drawing a complete blank on whether any President has actually cancelled the entire recess. It's usually most effective just before an election when last-minute donations are crucial.

I am sick of the republicans in the senate. They are spineless and there is not a dime's difference between them and the democrats. They are the same as LIV's. Many are reluctant to repeal Obamacare because their states took the expanded Medicaid bait the democrats put in Obamacare. Remember when Medicaid was the last resort for healthcare. Now one would think it is the grandest health insurance plan ever invented.

Assuming reps break promises to repeal obamacare and  lower taxes then dems will run congress after 2018 and we will higher taxes and Obamacare expansion. Amazing to me reps dont seem to care anymore.

That's been the battle of this forum since day one, removing the liars from the party.
And no, as much as the nation despises the gop Establishment, they hate the Dims even more, so no, they won't be back in power for in the least, a couple of more decades.

Which gives us time to try and get rid of the imposters. TEA is still learning, and quickly, how to do this. It is easier seen in the house than the senate, but the senate should be a priority.

I was thinking about this the other day. That, good people never run for office for a myriad of reasons, #1 being money.
But in today's climate, a true Conservative has a real chance of succeeding over the Establishment choice, simply through a grassroots campaign, the people would happily back TEA over the RINO any day.

The gop'E is more than aware of this, it's why they pay to flood elections with losers, further watering down the field, so a forced runoff takes place between a faux TEA candidate and their loser RINO.
But if a true Conservative starts early, gets the attention of the people, lays quiet for a bit, but has his name out early, they could seize the seat from any imposter Con running under the Establishments brand.

This is how McStain keeps getting elected, the gop'E floods the ticket with known losers willing to take a fall to seat the Marxist one more time.
I'd run, but to be honest, I despise city life and all its trimmings. DC? Make me puke!

Recess?  It's a good thing they don't have to travel far since they all seem to make DC their permanent residence.

I disagree. No action on taxes and healthcare and the reps will lose both houses of  congress.

I don't think so.  I think what previously would have been more victories for the out of power party will turn out to be more victories for conservatives.  People know the solution is to elect more conservatives.

If the republicans lose the house and senate, how will we know the difference?

To who, leftists? The gop'E moved left of center to take the position the Dim party abandoned when they lost all power, so how is it possible for the Dims to return to power, unless they move Right of the gop'E?

How is it you can't see this new reality, have your blinders spun around backward? The gop'E are today's new leftist party.

  Said the Shill!  The shit is just starting to hit the fan for the Dem's.   I myself think a lot of this BS will backfire on the Dem's down the road.  With all the money the MSM is spending they have ZIP in 1.5 years.  Other then looking like fools from all the make up news.
